You have to press and hold the up arrow while in Alarm mode to enable the alarm, and press and hold the down arrow while in Alarm mode to disable the alarm. Setting the alarm automatically enables the alarm.

SOURCE: brookstone smart set alarm clock. It is about 20minutes ahead

I've noticed that manually setting the clock forward or back by any number of minutes, results in the same time offset being displayed after unplugging - plugging back in. So, if it's 9pm and you set if 5 minutes fast (9:05pm). Then unplug it and plug it back in 30 minutes later (9:30pm), the clock will maintain your setting of 5 minutes ahead of the actual time (9:35).

I like to set my clocks 5 minutes fast, just to make me always think I'm running a bit late (sure, maybe I'm a bit crazy). But this "sticky" manual setting is kind of a nice feature in my opinion. I'm wondering if it's not intentional?

Anyway, just manually set it back to the real time, and it sho

Press the mode button twice. This will bring up the hour. button 1 on memory sets hour, button 2 sets minutes. Pay attention to AM and PM. Press mode again and same memory buttons will take you through day, date and etc. Alarm sets the same way.

I have the smart alarm clock model number 4511. I can't remember how to change the time for the alarm. I have pressed everything.

Open the door on the bottom of the clock. There's a switch there that unlocks the time setting function. After you unlock it, you can use the < and > buttons on the top of the clock to move the time back or ahead. Use the "mode" button to select between time and alarm setting functions.

Daylight savings time changes at wrong date on my brookstone 'smartset' alarm clock. (It changes at the old date, of course - so it is wrong 4 times a year...)

The DST schedule is hardwired into the older clocks and cannot be modified to run on the new schedule. If the clock has a DST switch, you can can turn it OFF and reset the clock only twice a year. On my old "ATOMIC" clock, I've set the DST function OFF, and I use the time zone switch for my adjustments. Sorry, but your only other choice is a new clock.

I plugged in my Brookstone Smartset alarm clock and the wrong time came up. I tried to click on the time zone button to change and nothing happened. What to do?

Brookstone Clock Radio Model CKS5369
Time is set using the RH button on the Month/Date, Time, and Year buttons. If you are only setting time, press the Time button and hold it down while pressing the Tuning/Set buttons for a lower or higher time. If you hold the Tuning/Set button it will shift to a fast change or press and release for one number change. Be sure to note the AM or PM light to the left of the time display.
