if your phone is gsm lock to a certain network you cant really send text messages. The first thing you need to do is unlock the phone so you can use any network providers sim card. First of all try to remember your phone unlock code. Try PINs that you normally use. Try your birth date or phone's last 4 digits.

Try 1234 or 1111 to unlock it. These lock codes are used by manufacturers as default codes. Then press OK. The six digit default security code is 000000. Network providers sometimes change that code to their own code. If your network provider has not changed it, then you may unlock your phone by trying these default security codes. It is recommended that you reset them to stop others from accessing your private information.

Press the menu key, it may bypass the unlock screen and handset will now be asking to enter security code. If you have forgotten the security code too, send it to the manufacturer's repairing center. They will charge the fee to unlock it as it is not covered under warranty.

To change unlock code or password

Nokia has the default security code 12345.Try that code for all Nokia handsets.

Enter #pwd# and then press send button. It may change or reset your handset password.

If all these tips don't work for you, contact your service provider. They will flash it, and you will be able to reset the password.

Also you can try these default codes: Default 4 Digit user code: 1234 or 0000 Default 5 Digit Security code: 12345 or 00000 Default 6 Digit Security code: 123456 or 000000 Default 6 Digit Security code: 000999 or 1122

Means there phone cannot receive text messages.

Well for the past week or so, Sidekick has been having problems with receiving text messages from other service providers such as AT&T and Sprint. It is best that you call up customer service to find a solution.

well it seems that the problem is with network you need to be with the network that solves your problem that is T-mobile...

get a T-mobile connection and transfer your mobile number to t-mobile...as AT&T tech support could not solve your problem its time to move ....you have tried every possible move yourself just go for better customer focused company

As sms is text only, people will get text messages only. To convert the smiley-characters into smiley images, the receiver should have support for emoticons, or have a 3rd party program to translate the emoticons. As most phones consider SMS as text messages, they won't convert them to emoticons...

You could try sending a message to yourself, or someone else with a k850i...Just to try.

1234 is the code or 0000 or 000000 or *123456789(hash key)
