This is due to one of the IDE devices inside (Hard Drive or DVD drive) not sending the requires "I am Ready" signal to the main board while the DVR does a power on self test. With the hundreds of units I have come across, 99% of the time it is due to a faulty DVD drive. These "Loader" brand DVD drives were on the cheap and when they give out, the unit does not go past the Hello. You can verify this by replacing the the DVD drive with any other DVD burner or DVD drive or even a CD drive that comes from a computer (IDE connector). The only fix for this is to replace the drive or simply connect an old CD drive inside and not use the DVD properties of the DVR, only the hard disk recording/playback.

Gas won't stop coming from oven

Hello suremoss - Once you have experienced a gas leak, I highly recommend turning the unit and the gas off if you can reach it. For safety and liability reasons we do not suggest that you troubleshoot this yourself any further and to contact a professional to move forward immediately

Open-cloesh problems

Hello
Check its loading belt and loading motor. If loading belt get loose or loading motor has low pulling power [due to trouble with its carbon brushes inside it], this type of problem will occur. There is a gear wheel assembly inside it which draws in and pushes out the tray mechanism. If any of these wheels gets broken, the mechanism won't work properly, even if the loading motor and loading belt is right. If so, replace the loading mechanism. It won't cost more, and can be bought from most of the electronic spare part shops at your town. OK.

Is there an internal fuse on a Bosch WFL2450?

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

As a freestanding unit, NO. It won`t have isolated fuses, However, if the unit is plugged into the dryer, then YES. It does through the dryer utility box.

If it is plugged into the dryer then you`ll need to look at the back of the dryer where it plugs into the dryer.

This is an example of what you need to look for...

38c55a5.jpg
If your washer is plugged in here, check the fuses inside the small box up in the corner, i.e.

**Please unplug the washer or dryer ( depending on the set-up I mentioned...freestanding or feed into dryer ) or turn off the breaker before servicing the unit any further...safety first**

Let me know if it is indeed plugged into the dryer and we can go from there.

I`ll watch for your reply.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

Generic problem for all Vacuums
Broken belt, motor won’t turn

Broken belt, motor won’t turn

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. If the motor shaft won’t turn then you may have a bad motor or a stick carbon brush, but if it is just the belt the replace the belt with a genuine belt because the average belt change id every 4 to 6 months for the best cleaning and to store the extra belts in a Ziploc bag in the refrigerator. But you question does not tell me what brand name and model # it is so I have a hard time to diagnose the problem for you so my explanation if just a generic one and should work for you but next time please note the brand name and model #. If you have further problems please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or call the Kirby cust serv dept listed below. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Thanks, Don the Vac Man
