My son psp beep when you put a game in and the umd does not come up can you help please

f you are experiencing issues when using a Universal Media Disc (UMDā„¢) on the PSP system, try these troubleshooting options:

  • Issues with PlayStationĀ®Store content Click here for help with content purchased from the PlayStation Store.
  • Restore Default Settings Restore Default settings will default the PSP system to its original settings. A setting change may be the reason the PSP system is having difficulties. Click here to learn how to restore default settings on the PSPgo / PSP system.
  • Confirm UMD is properly inserted

Make sure the UMD is properly inserted with the label facing the back of the PSP system. Try removing the UMD and reinserting it.
Please note, it is normal for the PSP system to make noises while it is reading from a UMD.

For PSP-1001, slide the latch to open the UMD door. For the PSP-2001 and PSP-3001, simply lift the door open.

  • Try playing the UMD on a different PSP system If possible, try playing the UMD on a different PSP system. If the disc still does not function properly, it might need to be replaced. If the disc does function properly, the PSP system may need service, see PSP Service for details.
  • Try playing a different UMD on the PSP system If possible, try playing a different UMD on the PSP system. If another UMD plays, the original UMD may be the problem. If none of the UMD's play, the problem may be isolated to the PSP system.
  • Check for moisture Do not let the PSP system or any PSPĀ® accessories come in contact with liquid. Also check for moisture condensation in the PSP system. If moisture condensation occurs, remove the disc from the PSP and do not use the PSP until the condensation has evaporated, which can take an hour or two. In general, if any part of the PSP gets wet, discontinue use until it is completely dry.
  • Check the regional code Check the regional code on the UMDā„¢ Video. The only regional codes that the North American PSPĀ® is tested to work properly with are "ALL" and "1.
    "

I can't get Valhalla Knights 2 to load on my psp

Update the system,....Alot of UMD games hang when they try to updeate from disc..If you download the update via internet and install it from the memory stick duo you should have no problem playing your game, the system will see that the firmware is up to par for the umd and will not do the system check so no lag time with loads...good luck hope this helps

Psp3002 when the disc inserted, it made a sound

ok soyou psp made a funny sound when you were loading it up. hmmm i would say you might have a problem wit your disc reader. try other games and see if makes the same noise or doesn't make a noise it used to do like the high spinning revolutions the disc spins at. if it isnt moving then you need to get it fixed because your lense reader have probably shititself from things like smoke ashes or watrer or even heat.

My psp makes a loud whirring noise

Hmmm... well i think its because its thea game or something or that you need to clean the PSP because when you open the UMD drive dust could fly in there or the UMDs might have dust inside and attract more dust but your able to play games right?
