The Ipod once you hook it up to the computer becomes like an external hard drive. hook it up go into my computer look for what looks like a new drive then open it up. once you do that go to edit select all then go down to delete click on it. it should get rid of all the files that are there. to put new ones on the ipod find the songs that you want and drag and drop them in the ipod drive.

Bought ipod from a pawn shop can i use the music on the ipod

sure. you can listen to it. as soon as you hook it up to your computer, with your itunes account, its going to erase the music on there and put in your playlist. so if you like it, dont hook it up to a computer to charger, use a wall plug.

I bought a ipod touch from a pawn shop it was locked is there a way to override the pass code

Yes,

1. Turn off the iPod

2. Plug the iPod USB cable into the botom of the iPod "ONLY"

3. Simultaneously, hold the home button and plug the USB cable into the computer

4. KEEP holding the home button until it asks you to connect to iTunes

5. Open iTunes (if not already open) and restore the iPod..

6. Wait for the process to complete and enjoy your new iPod! :)

Missing, wanted applications

Your screwed cause the applications are erased and replaced with all the **** you got on your computer when you first connected the thing.  There are free utilities that will allow you to reverse sync the data (from ipod to computer instead of from computer to ipod), but your supposed to do that first.
Now you got to pay like everyone else and contribute to Steve Job's medical bills.  Although, some of the applications were probably free, so you can just re-download them.
