Espresso maker won't brew.

I fill the espresso maker up with water and it won't brew, sometimes I get a shot or so, but I fill the water up ALL THE WAY. I've already tried rinsing out the inside and brewing vinegar water and the problem is almost worse now. I've only had the espresso maker for a couple years. PLEASE HELP!

Most likely it is an internal problem, such as a broken valve or nozzle.

Lavazza espresso point coffee won't brew coffee but water comes out of steam pipe.

  1. Make sure the water tank is filled and properly seated in the machine.
  2. Check the water flow from the steam pipe. If the water flow is strong and consistent, it is possible that the coffee brewing mechanism is clogged or malfunctioning.
  3. Check the coffee pod for any damage or debris that may be preventing it from brewing properly.
  4. Make sure the machine is properly calibrated and that the coffee brewing settings are correct.
If none of these suggestions fix the issue, it is possible that there is a deeper problem with the machine that may require the help of a professional repair service or the manufacturer to diagnose and repair.

I have a nuova simonelli premier maxi and when i pull a shot water gets into the boiler and eventually the boiler gets too full what is wrong

Is it constantly filling even the machine not in use, or just when your brewing, the pump keeps on running? If it is constantly filling that means you filling solenoid valve are mechanically open already. if only when brewing, check you water level sensors.

Sunbeam em6910 brewing does not stop

Before you start pulling the machine apart. Have a look at the grind sounds to course. Expecially if its taking 13seconds to pour... normal 60mls double shot should take from 25seconds to 28seconds. How many mls are your shots.. espressos are ment to be 30mls and double espressos are 60mls MAX.

If the grinds okay. Just simply re program the machine to above mls..

Feel free to contact me if you need.

I get lots of watered down coffee. It brews 3/4 cup but it is so watered down. We have descaled etc. I want a thick expresso like taste. This is on a large cup setting Help?>

HI
When you run a lot of water through just a little coffee it gets water down. Try making 2 meduim cups instead. When they make espresso its 1 tablespoon to 1 oz of water. Your running 6 oz of water through the same amount of coffee, and its going to be weak. Program you buttons for 2 shots to fill your cup and it will be pretty strong.

X1 trio makes huge shots, at the 3rd position it will nearly fill a coffee cup, at the middle it makes a double (about 4oz, and so on. What is wrong with it

Hi
The trio is set up for pods. There is nothing wrong with it. The positions on the brew head are for different shots. The 3 rd position lets a lot of water through, and the 2nd one lets less and the first one lets the least water through, and makes the strongest coffee.

How to clean an espresso maker

Here is the user manual with extremely detailed cleaning info. If it wasn't cleaned before last use, you probably have mold buildup, etc., so go ahead and go through ALL of the cleaning instructions:

Directions on how to use my Black and Decker Espresso Mio coffee maker

Be sure the red rubber gasket is in place and clean (ridge side in) and bottom water cup is screwed firmly on to avoid leaking.
HOW TO USE:
1) Fill the bottom water cup with cold water up to the inside lip.
2) Set funnel into bottom water cup
3) Fill coffee basket with expresso grind coffee and level off. (Do not tamp or pack). Make sure it's filled to the top.
4) Place filter onto coffee basket and set coffee basket into funnel
5) Place brewer over bottom water cup and screw firmly into place.
6) Place unit with lid in the center of a microwave oven set on high for 1-1/2 minutes. If boil over occurs, reduce the brew time in 10-second increments until no boil over occurs.
7) Grasp handle to remove unit from microwave when finished brewing.
8) Remove lid and check the level of espresso in the brewer cup. Standard brew is at least 2 oz. If you don't have this level brew, replace lid and microwave on high another 10 seconds. Wait 20-30 seconds for bubbling to stop.
CLEANING/ADDITIONAL BREWING:
1. Under cold running water, unscrew the bottom water cup. CAUTION: It is normal for some water to be left in the bottom water cup. Both the coffee basket and any water in the bottom water cup will be extremely hot! If you prefer, allow the unit to cool for at least 3 minutes before unscrewing it.
2) To brew additional espresso, rinse Funnel, coffee basket and filter, then repeat brewing steps 1-8 above.
3) Parts are top rack dishwasher-safe -- hand washing filter is recommended.

Wet Steam? Weak Espressos

Basing on personal experience (you can find more on Google probably), solutions are:

On percolated (filter) coffee machines:

Check water temp, if water temp is insufficient , most common is scale heating element , faulty element, faulty thermostat.
Check if water is dripping right at the center of the filter, if it is dripping on one side because the orifice is clogged, that can result in weak coffee.
Coffee blend not well distributed on filter basket.

On Espresso machines:

Check water temp, same as filter coffee machines (thermostat element, scale on heating chamber).
Ensure that coffee is filled correctly in the filter cup (fill at level), and well pressed.
Ensure that the coffee mixture that you are using is not too coarse, buy the apposite one for espresso.
Ensure that you are not leaving the machine brewing for a time that is too long, and Italian coffee cup is very small, approximately one regular shot.

On the hob moka pots (espresso, Moka and Bialetti type):

This are the trickiest ones, you need art and practice to get a good espresso with a Moka, but when you learn, the result is better than what you may get with an home electrical espresso maker.
The frame on the hob must be not too strong, and the mixture coarse but well pressed, with water at level tag, or you will get a weak coffee.
On Mokas a good strategy is keeping hob at minimum, and turning up the flame at top when coffee starts coming out.

French and turkish cafetieres:

Ensure that you put enough coffee, water hot enough, and that you left the infusion enough time to get a strong coffee.

Note: insufficient pressure and clogged lines on electric machines never give you a weak coffee, exactly the opposite.
Not pressed mixture always gives weak coffee, but too much pressed mixture may give you coffee with bad taste.
