Check the cartridges if all tapes have been taken out especially in the print nozzles. If all of the tapes are already taken off, try to perform a maintenance on the cartridges. To do that, on the control panel of your printer, press on Setup > Maintenance > Deep Clean Printhead.
Does the machine print anything? such as a directory or print when making a copy? I rather suspect it does not. When an incoming fax is recvd does the paper get pulled in and come out blank? If so your problem is with printing (or lack of it). Perform head cleaning. Also make sure the black cartridge still does not have its deal stuck on it. Post again if you still have problem.
Hi, It dosen`t matter how you load paper, Copy paper are blank on both side, now if you are reusing paper with prints on one side then you do it by trial and error.
Now if you meant how to load document on top, then that`s a different story, most fax machines require that you put the document face down. I would suggest that you make a copy from a document face down and if it comes out ok, fine, if the copy comes out blank then you need to put the document face up instead.
Hope this helps.
The error message 242 appears in HP Photomart C7180, when the remote machine (the fax machine at Fax Sender side), is having problem, and it is trying to receive fax instead of sending. So actually both these machines try to receive the fax at the same time.
On many fax machines it is possible to accediently initiate the fax reception when:
1. The paper is not loaded in the machine
2. Or The paper is not correctly loaded.
You may contact the fax sender to check the above things. There is absolutely no problem with machine at your end.
try and make a copy with the fax... if it comes out the same way... turn the paper face up if it was face down or vice versa and try again... if it works then fax the same way and see what happens... if all goes well then keep copying and faxing that way... if that works but fax does not work... print an internal report... if that does not print then you have main board problems... if internal prints print then you have a problem with your ccd... thats a big long strip that rests right under the keyboard... thats what does the scanning... if that is bad... then when you fax... or copy it will be blank or black... depending on what is blown on it...
when fax gives msg ,fax in memory, just remove jammed paper .put fresh papers in tray.if the msg is coming on screen that fax in memory just press START key.there is a green button labeled as fax start .u will receive all faxes in memory.MIAN AKHLAQ .do not forget to rate the solution.
When you say all other printing processes are ok, I am assuming you can make copies and print from the computer. If so...then are the blank faxes coming from several different fax machines or are they coming from one particular fax machine. If one particular fax machine, then the problem is probably on their end. I need to go backwards a second....when you receive a fax does the machine spit out a blank page or no paper is fed at all..it just receives the fax? Is the machine programmed to just receive faxes to memory to be printed out later? It doesn't make sense for it to print or copy but not to print a fax. If problem persist try a different fax modem.
Dear guys, your toner cartridge is low and as a preventive measure, the unit stores the faxes in order to give priority to copying and printing. If you are using remanufactured cartridges, the unit might not be displaying the low toner warning.
