Acoustic Solutions TV/DVD P1480 has stopped working

My daughter was watching a DVD last night and all of a sudden it switched off. She said that on the screen there was a countdown from 3, then the screen went blank. We turned everything off, it's connected to a Freeview box and an aerial as well, and switched back on. All the power buttons are showing as being on, but the TV's screen is blank. Obviously the DVD is still in it and we can't get it out. Did the Freeview retune yesterday afternoon and all seemed well. Can anyone help?

Doh me, daughter had accidently hit the standby button without realising, had a brainwave after posting above and tried that, everything working fine.

My Boston Acoustic Avidea 610 home theatre receiver popped last night and lost power! it has not been able to be powered up again!

Sounds like you blew a cap or some sold state device in the power supply section of receiver. Open her up and start looking and smelling - replace bad parts and cross fingers.

Hi I know this was posted months ago but the answer may help others, I found the capacitor C852 1000Uf ,35v was bulging at the top which is on the power supply board the number C852 is for the acoustic solutions model lcd42762f1080p tv (but this info would apply to most acoustic tvs: WHEN TESTED THE CAPACITOR ON THE ESR METER READ OK, but cos it was bulging at the top I knew it was faulty, it seems that it was breaking down under load hope this help regards celestica

Bush lcd tv has sound but no picture when switch on tv screen is blue then goes black and you can hear the proggramme that is on

My acoustic solutions lcd26805hd tv has started flickering really badly every time I switch it on. The flickering goes on for about 30 minutes before it calms down. I have checked all the connections at the back of the tv - all ok. This happens whether I watch cable or a dvd.

Acoustic Solutions TV Fault

I think you are looking at a power board problem. I had the same thing happen to a Vizio and I replaced the power board and it solved the problem. It could also be the input board but most likely the power board.

We had no control of the DVD that we watched last night. No pause, fast forward, etc. Tonight, trying to watch another DVD and the one from last night continues to be playing and will not eject. Neith

Sometimes when you unplug the set ffrom the wall power or a while 1-2 minutes, and then plug it back in the problem will resolve itself. The DVD may eject. If it does, check it for damage, warping or dirt. If this does not fix it- you probably should take it to a repair center.

Manual for acoustic solutions lcd32805hd tv

You will need an HDMi lead running from the port on the back of your television to the port on a compatible DVD player/recorder, then toggle (keep pressing) the AV/Source button on the remote to switch the television mode to HDMi.

The HDMi port will be marked HDMi on the back of your television.

Portable DVD showing blue screen

i have the same dvd player the pink 1 i lent on a button and it went into black and white i have tried everything and can't seem to get it back into colour again, ive tried pressing all the buttons and nothing seems to work or come up with any black and white/ colour options :(
