We have a Haier dishwasher and the capacitor burned out. The mahcines are sold at Argos and Comet but I can't source a replacment part which seems kind of crazy. It is out of Warranty and comet can't help. The capacitor is 5uv and has 2 pins. There are generic alternatives with 4 pins. Comets spare part place doesn't sell the capacitors separately and don't know if they come as part of a wider unit. Can anyone help I understand these parts cost about £6 and don't want the expense of a new dishwasher just because I can't track one down. Thanks

I removed the tracks from inside the dishwasher.  Then I was able to carefully remove the endcaps (something I had not been able to do previously) carefully.  The existing broken wheels slid out and I slid two new brackets into each track.   If I attached the tracks to the rack first, I would not be able to clip them into place, so I first replaced the endcaps and then returned the tracks to their positions inside the dishwasher. Reattaching the upper rack is not difficult, but takes two people while I connected the left side, my assistant supported the rack on the right side.  I then connected the right side of the rack.  I slide the rack back and forth to macke sure that is worked smoothly.  We then loaded the dishwasher and washed our dishes as we had in the past.

Your question is: Re-circulation pump was replaced under warranty after 7 months. Now there appears to be draining problems. hose not kinked and filter seems clear - I guess the pump is either broken or something has jammed it. Does anyone know how to get at it??? Warranty has expired and a new pump + fitting is gonna be expensive. Any tips?

If the motor runs but it won't empty then the pump needs replacement. If the unit washes but the motor won't come on to empty then you have a control problem. Either way I don't recomend this repair to the average homeowner. The unit must be removed to access the pump. You might consider utilizing our Repair Directory to find a repair man.

No recalls at this point. the repair man is correct. the circulation motor is damaged.

You should know that, this model has many issues that we deal with on this site that concern this (LE) trouble code. The circulation motors are not reliable in this model.
