Motor brushes worn, Fit new brush kit.
The motor is located at the bottom of the drum , it is secured by arond 3 bolts removay is straightforward make sure this motor has brushes you will see them , check on website if your not sure how the look.....2screws hold each brush cost is about 15 G.B. pounds..hope you get on okay, Oh. if its no brush motor scrap machine....
Could well just be the pump not pumping water .you could try cleaning filter .....
Spin knob is still available via u/k stocks ..some of the teeth snap and makes hard to select spin,,Good luck

Can you tell me were the motor is and the best way to remove it, I would also like if you could to say were to get the brushes from, fitting them into the motor is not a problem.

Had a good look at the motor, removed the brushes and they both have plenty of meat left on them. The motor and the belt look fine and the motor does run, the washer does operate, it just has a problem with the spin part of the program.
Both the short spin and long spin it just won't operate.
Hope this helps with another idea of how to fix the unit.

It drains and pumps water out of the drum.
The filter is clean and there are no blockages as I can see.
Is there anything else that it could be?
The programs that are the spin (old dial system) will not turn, is there something I can look at to see why this is, all the other programs works fine, just the spin and fast spin.
