ean_inkrefills on ebay. Search on the terms "samsung clp 315 toner refill solution". Chip installs on the printer motherboard--installation is not overly difficult, but still not for the faint-hearted. I expect it voids the printer warranty. Ean gives good email support.

you have to set the printer to ignore the measage by setting in maintenance menu.

No need to drill holes. If you turn the cartridge with the drum facing away from you, on the left hand side, you should see a small block elliptical cover with a couple of divider on it. That is the cover for filling the cartridge. The problem is there is no available reset chip yet for clp-315.

New Models of Samsung Laser printers come pre-packed with Cartridges that have no chips but an empty space where the chip should be. These chipless cartridges do not need to have a chip because the printer is pre-programmed to run for one cycle. These pre-packed cartridges can also be refilled in the same way but will need a reset chip.

1 Could be toner on the contacts (inside the printer) that mate with the contacts on the cartrdige.

2 Are you sure they are 510 toners and not 500 ones ?? 510 toners have a chip that identifies the cartridge (Colour, Capacity) and maintains a count of the pages printed.
500 toners have a reset fuse that resets the toner counter in the printer, and a resitor that identifies the capacity

3 Are they new cartridges, remanufactured, or 'home refiled'.
if either of the later two, were the chips replaced ? - if not the cartridge still thinks it has printed its full life of pages.
