It says..please insert a playstaion or playstation 2 disc format.
It's not asking for a specific disc, it's asking for a properly formatted PlayStation disc.
This message could mean that any one of several things has happened:
* You are trying to play a Japanese disc on a US PS2, or vice versa
* You are trying to play a game that has been copied onto a CD-R/DVD-R
* Your disc is scratched/dirty/otherwise unreadable
* Your disc isn't a format that the PS2 recognises (i.e. CD, DVD, PS CD-ROM, PS2 CD-ROM, PS2 DVD-ROM, etc)
* Your PS2 is broken
I have a game for the PLaystation 2 counsel. Its called "Star Ocean: Till The End of Time" Recently, we have been playing it and it has been working just fine until today. We tried to load the second 1st disc but it wont load. We were freaked out by this so we decided to try other games. They worked just fine. We then tried the second disc and that one worked. So we cleaned the lens, put the 1st disc in again, but it still wont work. We are sure that this is NOT a fake game as we have played it before and just recently. We desperately need help. Thanks.
when i enter a game disc it works but when i enter smackdown disc computer asks to enter format disc
