My DSR-11 has developed a problem. When I set a clip to capture and tell it to batch in FinalCut Pro, it will pixelate on the right side of the screen where the start point is. The pixelation will walk off to the right and then capture fine for the rest of the tape. However, sometimes it is so bad that it will cause timecode breaks. It only does it on batch capturing, never on "non-controllable device".
I only use Panasonic AY-DVM63PQ tapes.
My camera is a panansonic Ag-dvx100, with most stuff shot in 24p.
If I capture a tape shot on my friend's panasonic ag-dvx100a I get a ton of time code breaks, he never gets any on his DSR-11.
What is this problem?
Would a professional cleaning fix it?
Can I fix or clean it myself and how?
Could this be caused by my camera or tapes instead?
