Question about Compaq Armada E500 Notebook
Eror 0192:system security -embedded security hardware temper detected
Posted on Mar 31, 2012
PXE or Pixie errors occur when the system tried to boot to the network connection and failed. This error usually occurs when the hard drive fails. If your system does boot to windows and you are just getting the error, then you can change the network card setting in BIOS to turn PXE boot off.
If the error occurs and the system doesn't boot to the hard drive, then the hard drive has most likely failed.

This issue is often caused by either an incorrect setting in CMOS Setup or a bad boot device, such as a bad hard disk drive.
Verify your boot options are properly set in CMOS setup. We recommend having the CD or disc drive as your first boot device and then hard drive as the second boot device.
If your CMOS Setup has an option to boot from the LAN disable this option.
If you have changed any CMOS settings, make sure to save and reboot the computer.
If this does not resolve the issue, try resetting the CMOS values to the default settings, save and exit.
Finally, if none of the above suggestions resolve this error go through the Invalid or Non System Disk error troubleshooting steps, which is related to this error message.
