DISH VIP612 Program AUX Remote Code 2

DISH Solo DVR VIP612 Program AUX Remote Code

7c06801.jpg

Would you like to program the Universal Remote that came with your Dish Solo DVR VIP 612 to control your receiver, tuner, stereo, second TV or second VCR using your remote's AUX mode? (Instructions to setup a primary TV or a VCR are a little different, but can be found here.)

e818a57.jpg

To setup your Dish Solo DVR VIP 612 Universal Remote, follow these steps to enter the remote control codes to control a device with the AUX mode:

  1. Turn the device you would like to control on.
  2. Find the brand name of the device you would like to control in the control code tables on page 112 of the Dish Solo DVR VIP 612 User Manual.
  3. Press and hold the AUX mode button until all the other buttons light up, and then let go. The AUX mode button will flash.
  4. Press 0 for a TV, 1 for a VCR, or 2 for a receiver, amplifier or tuner.
  5. Enter one of the three-digit codes from the tables in the manual.
  6. Press POUND (#). The mode button will flash three times.
  7. Press POWER to turn off the device. If the device does not turn off, skip to step 9.
  8. Turn the device back on and try some of the other buttons to make sure they work. If the code works, stop here.
  9. If the code didn't work, repeat steps 3 through 7 with the next device code from the tables in the manual.
Your device control codes for your amplifier or other AUX device are now programmed into your DISH Solo DVR ViP 612.

Now you probably want to set your Dish Solo DVR VIP 612 Universal Remote up so that it always controls the volume of your stereo, rather than of your TV, regardless of whether it is in SAT, TV, VCR or AUX mode. Help for this remote control programming can be found here.

(Help for programming a TV or VCR using the TV or VCR mode buttons can be found here.)

I hope that helps.

I need code(s)for Insignia 32"LED TV to be programed with my IR 4.4 UHF PRO Dish Network remote

03732,03770. If you wish to get more details; check the sites linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Common codes to check devices with different brand TVs are given, in the order of the device's brand name list in alphabetical order. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. Surf the sites by type in the brand name to your set, in its search box.

Dish tv 21.1 control solutions

craneserv710,
I would need more information on if it has intermittent control of TV or satellite to provide the best information. I have listed some steps to try below for either situation!
Satellite:
If the remote has intermittent use on the satellite, ensure there is nothing that may be causing interference. For a TV1, this could be a fluorescent light, or a direct heat source blocking the IR signal. If it is a TV2, interference may be caused by a device that is powered on. You can try turning off equipment to see if interference is removed, or you can try moving the antenna on the back of the receiver. If it is sticking straight up, turn it parallel with the receiver. If it is laying flat, put it straight up.
Television:
If the intermittent control is for the TV functions, you may need to program a new code into the remote. There are multiple codes for a remote and some will work completely, while others only provide intermittent functions.
Let me know if you have any other questions, or if you can provide additional details! I'll be happy to assist you.

I just hooked my insignia t.v. to dishnet work but there codes do not control my t.v.

Depending on the age of the dish paperwork you might be able to get some newer codes from dishes website. There is a slim chance that you might find some codes from Insignia for the dish remote; and some times you can reverse it and program your tv remote for the dish box. Other than that they should have a step by step on how to find a code that will work with your tv. Usually its something like have the tv powered up and then on the remote press and hold a couple of buttons until you get a light code on the remote (flashing or solid) then. Something like press tv then power, wait, tv then power, wait, etc. And eventually the tv will turn off. Its laborious but that will usually, eventually, work.
Good luck.

I can't find the instructions to program my Insignia remote to control my Dish Network receiver. Insignia model number is NS-RC01G-09.

It would be our please to help you with that. Here is a list of remote codes for addressing the DISH remote to an Insignia TV: 720, 000, 697, 834, 544, 538, 638. Press and hold the TV button until all mode button back lights come on, then release. Use the number buttons to enter the Insignia codes. Press the pound (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times. Also remember to put the remote back in satellite mode. Thank you for being a valued DISH Network customer!

I just got a dish installed and cannot program the remote control

What you can try:
- Check the DirecTV code set for the following brands:
Funai, Symphonic, Sylvania, Aventura, Durabrand, ESA, Magnavox, INSIGNIA, and Misakai

Your set and the above-named are all built by Funai.

Even if you find one that works, it probably will not give you full functionality as would the original TV remote, which you can probably find at http:\\www.remotes.com

Before you buy any 'universal' remote, please don't expect it to absolutely work with your set; there is no such thing as a 'universal' remote.
If you find one that interests you, take the time to look up the mfr.'s website and check the code lists for your set.
