Operators Error - won't respond to anything

When I turn on my printer it flashes one green light and then 5 orange. When I attempt to print a window pops up that says "Operator error.
Press printer's RESUME button.
If this doesn't clear the error, cancel printing and turn the printer off and then back on."

I do this and nothing happens. I have tried to unistall and reinstall the printer. I have tried different USB ports and it will not print ANYTHING. It won't do a test page, maintenance, NOTHING. It is online and everything is connected properly. I have done all the troubleshooting, and nothing has worked. ANY HELP????

Something VERY similar happened to me, and simply unplugging it then turning it back on fixed it. I guess you have nothing to lose trying, right?

From the e-user's guide:
Five flashes: Print Head not installed / Print Head not installed correctly / Print Head is defective Install the Print Head. If the Print Head is already installed, remove the Print Head and check the electrical contacts for foreign matter, then reinstall.
After reinstalling the Print Head, you may need to realign it.
If this error still remains, the Print Head may be damaged. Contact a Canon service representative.

The simple fix with the above instructions is to make sure the contacts are clean. Dust from indoor carpeting, fireplaces, and cat/dog dander/dirt over the months can wreak havoc with contacts in gadgets not completely sealed, such as printers. Use an appropriate cleaner if they are very dirty (something made for electronic devices).

I think it's the "print head is not installed" code.
If you are certain it is, open the the cover and make sure the gray lever is pushed down. This sets the head against the pins in the carriage.

You also might try and take out and put back in the print head, making certain all the cartridges are installed correctly. (click into place) and try it again.

I have canon pixma iP100. green & orange light is flashing it won't print comes up error 6000.manual says to take battery off turn off power for at least 5 mins then turn on tried this still s

Turning off and on pressing buttons does not work. Error 6000 means either paper is in the way. Try rolling the paper bar inside the printer to remove paper jam. Or, most likely the ink well, right hand side, needs cleaning .use toilet paper to remove excess ink in the ink well. Just recovered my printer doing this .

My canon i 560 does not respond at all. when i turn it on the light flashes 5 times orange and once green. and it repeats this

Generally speaking the Orange light flashes 5 times to indicate a print head error.

Did you recently remove and install the printhead? It may just need to be reseated. The printer may also need a service repair.
