Hi,do you hear buzzing ,whirling,or high pitch sounds? If you do it could be an issue with the color wheel. The Samsung BP96-00674A color wheels spin anywhere from 6,000 to 15,000 revolutions per minute (RPM’s)--It is one of the few consumable parts in your Samsung TV. The average life expectancy from our data logging shows the Samsung color wheels are fairly reliable with a MEAN average of 5-8 years But it could also be the Dmd board this is how it works: http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/dlp1.htm Baisclly the DMD board creates the images and colors through its chip that has 2 million pixels, when that chips goes out you'll see either lines ,pixelation and dicoloration. One simple way to see if it is the Dmd its to display menu if it's also appears distorted that will be what it is.

Color seems to be pealing up from the bottom of screen

If the screen is bouncing...expanding/shrinking you need to get a repair kit from www.TvRepairKits.com

If your screen looks 3d in color, has a stationary bow, or if you can't adjust one or more colors from the "convergence" menu you need to buy a convergence repair kit. You can get one from the same site listed above.

Hope this Helps,

You are having a convergence problem. It is the most common problem with all projection TVs. It needs professional repair.

Tv lost color

Your problem most likely is on the signal board is my guess. If your not a technician it would be in your best interest to have him check L2C60 on the signal board.

Panasonic pt51hx40b

If the bottom 8 inches of the screen is black then you likely have a failed part in the vertical output circuits. If you can still see video clear to the bottom, then your convergence IC's (IC7001 and 7002) may have taken a dump on you. Worst case would be a failure in one or more of the 3 yokes in the set that attach to the CRT's. If the sets less than 10 years old, it may be worth repairing. Otherwise, a nice NEW HDTV would be in order.

Green dot in middile of my screen

The green dot in the center sounds like a burn mark on one or more of the picture tubes inside the set, and the curved lines are telling me that you have a problem in the convergence circuits. The blue haze around everything white tells me you either have a lot of dust build up on the lens over the CRTs, or your picture tube(s) are very weak. If this set is over about 12 years old, I would replace it. I doubt if you will be able to get the green dot out of the picture without changing the tubes which would be VERY expensive.
