Ir 2016, can be onlly pull scanner, so that means that you must have installed scan gear, selected in scan gear, and over microsoft word or similar insert scan ( INSERT PICTURE FROM SCANNER OR CAMERA ), but the machine must be in scan mode, put original on platen or dadf, and then "pull it"from PC.

Dear, check all the ccd flat cables of scanner unit and dc boards back side and replace them which are faulty due to long time which lost the metallic strength for which this issue comes .One flat cable is fitted from scanner lamp unit to its board which is long cable and two flat cables are fitted with this scanner board to back side pcb which are long and another one is connected to two pcb boards at back side one comes from mother board to other board,
Read the Manual (comes with Tool). If you don't have the Tool download it from the Canon site. Go to the copier and press the System/Options button next to Copy/Mailbox/Fax. Press Online. Then try scanning. Go back to copier and press Offline so can photocopy again.
I have a Canon ir 3045 copier. I had sucessfully scanned two documents but the third scanned document (107 pages) was not emailed to me. When I click on press details, the job type reads #801. how do i retrieve the document?
What error code are you getting? Try to scan again and let it fail. Press system monitor, scan, log. Look for jobs with Result of NG. Highlight one and press details. At the top, look for Result: NG (####). It will display an error number there. What is that error number?
751 cannot connect to server 7xx cannot connect ... 8xx could connect, but error... 801 bad user/pw or firewall 802 user/permissions 899 unknown if successful, may be normal
Check additional functions, system settings, network settings, email/ifax settings. Check SMTP server IP and authentication / encryption.
Ignore POP or recieve options as they are for IFAX.
I had a similar problem with my MF6540. I could access the remote UI and see that the printer was recieving information via the print log. It would list all of my test pages that I tried to print but in the print results column I would get an error code NG(##5536) and the printer would not actually print anything. I tried the UFRII driver stated above and everything seems to be working now.
