Make sure there are no leaks from the machine. look behind it and check the water inlet hose and connectors for any damage. Also look under the machine for any water as this may indicate a leak from the internal hose and pipe work and / or water pump. Also check that the outlet hose is completely clear of debris and soap scum build up and check that the filter is clean. Do this on a regular basis.

To keep the machine clean of waste build up and to keep any bad odours away
1. Remove all items from the washer.
2. Add 1/4 cup (60 mL) of liquid chlorine bleach to tthe machine. DO NOT use more than 1/4 cup (160mL) of bleach per cycle as this will lead to product damage.
3. Close the washer door and dispenser drawer.
4. Select the Clean Washer cycle or a full wash cotton 104 F wash (40 C) if you have one or use a 60C wash. DO NOT use any higher temperature as this will cause unnecessary fumes
5. Press Start and allow cycle to complete.
6. After the cycle is complete, leave the door open slightly to allow ventilation and drying of the washer interior.
7. Repeat the cleaning procedure as necessary.

DISH WASHER WON'T DRAIN BOSCH SHE45M

Hi:
This maybe due to a clogged drain hose, sometimes food will clog the drain valve causing the unit not to drain the water. Check the drain plug for clogged debris in it.

I have a BOSCH model 53L06UC dishwasher and was

every bosch dishwasher unit is different. you can get odor from different source. #1 solution to fight odor is the proper maintenance. every month run the cycle with just a cup of vinegar on a hot wash. i am a old bosch tech and alot of people dont add the jet dry properly. this is for drying, spots and-cleaning you must add the jet dry or rinse agent (same thing)into the compartment. close compartment, then lower and raise door 3 times, then fill again repeat until you cant add anymore then it is filled.if this help please send me a 4 thumbs up post. thanks

Bad odor when open door after cycle

This is just a suggestion, run a cycle and after a few mins of it washing, open the door and add a cup of bleach and let the washer run. See if this helps.

Odor 2 days after cycle

After you have unloaded the the dishwasher, prop the door open with the upper rack out.
Let the inside air out. After a short time the remaining moisture will evaporate. Stainless steel dishwashers are prone to an odor if you do not use the machine daily. There are after market products that are citrus based that will help. Check with Bosch.

Bosch dishwasher will not drain - causing moldy odor

Hello Mimhoff it depends on how much water is down there. The sump area always has a little water in it to prevent the circulation pump seals from sticking. Usually around 1 to 2 inches. If there is more than that, check the slots at the bottom of the sump on the left side for being clogged and check the end of the drain hose to make sure it is clear. If you are getting a moldy/odor from the dishwasher, try running Dishwasher Magic or Tang thru the dishwasher. This will remove any build up of food or detergent from the dishwasher. If you are running the dishwasher every few days and just scraping your dishes, then either leave the door ajar or run the rinse & hold cycle to help keep the odor down. Bosch doesn't reccommend running bleach thru the dishwasher as this can cause damage to the rubber seals. However 2 tablespoons of bleach once a year won't hurt.
