Do you have your printer directly plugged into the back of your computer? When you installed the printers software and driver, did your system recognize the printer directly plugged into the back of your computer. If you are running XP with plug and play, it should recognize it and install correctly. Try doing a test page after installation. Also, if your ink cartriges are not installed correctly, it will not let you print. Also, make sure your photo software is pointing to your printer as a default.

Won't print! it scans photos but it won't print

as it is not printing u can try making copies . if it copies fine that means the issue is with software but if it is not copying properly that means the problem is with hardware. u can try with uninstalling the software and reinstalling it .

Printing an enlarged version of a scanned photo

The best way is to use software like Corel PhotoPaint and RESAMPLE the pix to the sze you want. YOu typically will get better resolution.

You could also try selecting the "Fit To Page" setting of the printer window before you tell it to print.

How to print a regular document from Microsoft Word, Excel.

Instead of pressing the start button to print, you need to press the small ON/OFF button. The start button works to copy/scan. But to print, you will need to turn the printer on first. Once the printer is on, the computer should recognize it fine and allow you to print from your applications.

Dell No. 962 (All-In-One Printer)

you need to go to your printer settings and make sure it is set as the default printer for everything. Make sure it is also set as your default scanner. you may also try lightening the image with the lighter/darker setting on the machine. if this continues, you may want to see if a section of the light is burnt out. this wiill cause darkness on scan & copies but not printing from the c drive. Make sure the machine is lighting up completely when is scans or copies. If part of the lighting is burnt out it will be a fix or replace situation.

Failure to comunicate with printer

Best to start from beginning, assuming your usb cable is ok. Remove printer from usb port, then uninstal printer driver. Re install printer driver and when prompted re connect printer(Use a different USB port, if have a spare one). Make sure windows finds new hardware, then identifies your printer(popup on right side of task bar), them watch for it telling you 'Your hardware is installed and ready to use'. Go to your printer folder in control panel and look on printers properties to see if it's on line. Come back if this does not cure it.
