You may lose some channels when you retune the TV as the channels have been rearranged. To locate them look at the EPG although you may still find that some channels are no longer available on FREEVIEW. See the following link for additional information

If the above process does not work then check the link above for additional information and also visit the accompanying site links below to find more information for your model of TV / FREEVIEW box.

There is a power issue. Are you using a power bar to turn it on and off? If so, don't.

Philips 42PFL5522D/05

It sounds that the fault is with its main board. It will be best to contact the authorized service center for Philips in this case.

42pfl5522d/05 tv screen is blue and cant tune or watch anything?

With the TV on pull out it's AC plug and leave it for a few minutes (10 minimum)
Then switch off the manual switch you left on, on the TV set.
Plug in again and turn on the TV by the manual button (this should be standby mode) then turn fully on as usual by the remote control.
It may need complete or part setting up again per the instructions but you'll hopefully find that all will soon be well.

How to locate and remove inverter board on phillips lcd tv model 42pfl5522d/05

inverter boards are usually all the way to the left or right of the panel. if you open your tv..looking at it there should be a brown board which is you power board. then theres a board that you plug in all of your components to, its green, thats the main board. at the top or bottom is a smaller board thats the controller board. then on the left or right are your inverter boards, some lcds have multiple.

Please take the time to rate :] thanks!

My son pressed a button on my tv and now it is frozen on the setup screen, i have no remote for the tv as all is done through sky can you help me please??? it is a 42pfl5522d/05 42 in phillips model no

You could try switching the tv off at the mains for a couple of minutes. This should get it out of the setup menu.
Have a look on ebay for a remote control.
