Flashing screen when i first turn on my... but turns black immedi

satservice, What happens AFTER 15 min of FLASHING?? What did unit do or act like 3-4 weeks ago? Is the screen both BLACK and BLANK? or is screen just black and you can SEE win-desktop if you shine a bright flashlight 1 inch from screen at differnt angles? Can you use your Samsung warranty? Will monitor do same when connected to different KNOWN GOOD prebooted to desktop PC? Are you refering to the "power ON" indicator light on front BEZEL as the FLASHING thing? Need more info, but I suspect "shutdown of units "switch-mode-power-supply" due to detection of FAULT CONDITION having been detected with other circuit or with itself. I had a similar problem with my LCD computer screen. I took it apart and noticed a capacitor that was raised up on the flat end and appeared to be leaking a substance. Replaced it with a similar capacitor and works fine, for three years now.

Internal power supply is hurting. It is a non linear supply and they switcher transisters are not working

your monitor got a hardware problem:
1) the LVDS controler board out of work, only change or repair it could be fixed.
2) if you can see some show like smaller signal detect windows in the centre of screen a very short time (bright flashing one time), this is inverter board damaged or worn lamps, thay all need repair or replace

I have not solved the problem of the blinking on off switch, but I have solved the problem of the monitor attached to my laptop waiting so long to start up. I never shut down the computer and I never hibernate it either. I leave it on 24 hours a day.

It could be a bad backlight bulb.

try it on tuner mode to seperate the fault from video to rf input,if gone the video pc board is at fault.

please connect your laptop to external monitor.
if it works with external monitor, then the problem is with your laptop monitor driver.if that is the case, then re-install laptop monitor drivers.
if it doesn't work even with the external monitor, then re-install graphic card drivers.

I would suggest trying another monitor to rule out your PC or monitor card. I would also check the video settings on the PC. Then assuming your cable/connector and video card are okay, it sounds like a lamp or lamp driver (a.k.a. ballast or inverter) issue. In other words, an internal issue that probably needs component-level troubleshooting.
