Hi, follow the steps below to reset and reconfigure your RP614:

RESET:

At the back of the router you will find a small tiny hole (which says restore to factory default settings). Press the button with the help of a paper clip and hold it down for 30 seconds. After 30 seconds, please release the button and power off the router for 5 seconds then power the router back.

CONNECTIONS:

1. Connect a Ethernet cable from the modem to the WAN port of the router (isolated port).
2. Connect the computer to the router using any one of the 4 available ports. Please make sure that there is no direct connection between the modem and the computer (either using Ethernet cable or USB cable).
3. Power off the modem and the router after making the connections.
4. Power on the modem and wait for the lights, then power on the router.

RECONFIGURE:

1. Open the browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Safari).
2. Access the router, usually with http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://www.routerlogin.com.
3. Login to the router with the Username as "admin" and Password as "password" (please note that the Username and Password are case sensitive).
4. Click on 'Basic settings' from the left menu and select 'Use Computers MAC Address' from 'router MAC Address' section.
5. Click Apply.
6. Once it updates the settings then power off the modem and the router. Power on the modem and wait for the lights, then power on the router.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue.

No driver for Canoscan FB 630U Vista 64 bit

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like Canon supports this scanner under Vista. Check if the Windows generic TWAIN scanner driver will work. The Canon software won't work. If the generic driver can be installed, then you should be able to acquire scans in Paint (File > Import from Scanner or Camera), Windows Fax and Scan (New Scan) (some versions of Vista) or Windows Photo Gallery (IIRC it works like Paint).

I hope this helps.

(Canon wants you to upgrade. I have a different scanner that isn't officially supported past XP and the generic driver works fine. Unfortunately, you can't just use the XP driver in the compatibility mode due to the lack of signed drivers that are required in the 64-bit OS)

You should not need any software to connect to the router. Use connection wizard in VIsta to setup the internet connection

I have a logitech cctc system but when i plug in the usb device it states there is a problem with the powerline bridge driver and states its not compatable with vista but logitech states it is compatable...

You might have a 64-bit Windows installed. The drivers on the CD are only for 32-bit windows. Download and install the latest drivers from Logitech website (http://www.wilife.com/Support/Downloads.aspx), which includes the 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Hope this helps !

Need help before buying laptop with 64-bit OS

Your router doesn't care about your OS, all it's dealing with is networking packets and protocols ant for that Vista 64bit is acting like anything else, there's no such thing on the brand new laptop market what won't work with a router via cable or wireless.
Long story short I can tell you that it will work and if there'll be a problem it wont'be 64-bit vista itself more likely the wireless password if you don't know it. Buy that laptop if you like how it looks like and what it can do for you.

Need help before buying laptop with 64-bit operating system

The router protocols (on air and ethernet connection) are independant of the operating system. Vista 64 bit will work with the router.
