WT 46807 won't stay powered up

I turn the TV on but it shuts off after about five seconds. I did the self diagnostic by holding menu and input on the front of the TV for five seconds and I get two pulses, a pause and two pulses from the green power light. Do you know what this is telling me?

My Mitsubishi Medallion tv stays on for about 10 minutes and then shuts down and won't turn back on until a period of time has passed. It is a rear projection tv about 9 years old. Can anyone help ex

When it shuts off and the green power light goes off, press both the menu and input buttons on the front of the set (not the remote) and hold both for about five seconds and release.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks and then 3 blinks and repeat it several times.

What is the error code?

Screen shuts off shortly after turning on

Do the self check this model has, when green power light comes on and then goes out on the front of the set press and hold both the Menu and Input (device) buttons at the same time for at least 5 seconds, then release both buttons and watch the power light, It will blink a two digit code, a error code.

Most common is 2 blinks, 2 blinks, a pause and then it will repeat the code several times.

Let me know what code you find and I will tell you what it means.

hi,
Error code 2-2 indicates "Short Protect Circuit" problem in tv.
Need to check pico fuses in power supply as one or two got blown due to bad convergence chips.
Below is an exploded view of tv chassis, power supply and convergence area has been marked to give you better idea to look for pico fuses.
Unplug tv from wall socket before to repair/check any thing inside tv.
Hope these info will help you.
Let me know if you have additional question.
Thanks.

Last night the set just turned off by itself. When I try to power on, the power light comes on for a second and then it shuts itself off again.

I am having this exact problem. The TV turned off by itself and now when I try to turn it on, the power light stays on for a sec and goes of with a click sound.

Any TV experts who can HELP?

When i turn it on it shuts right back off

Please do the self check this set has:

When the power light comes on and goes out press and hold both the MENU and Input (also called Device) buttons at the same time for at least 5 seconds and then release both buttons.

The power light will blink a two digit error code--for example--2 blinks, a pause and 2 blinks.

Burnout ? wt-46807

There could be a Pip problem or the vertical sweep could have went out also so then the set shuts down the video so it does not burn a line across the tubes. Theres really no way to tell what is wrong or it would just be a guess, a shot in the dark. Call out an authorized repair depot and get an estimate. Good Luck
