HI. In most cases, this will be a failed PSU(power supply unit), but i would advise to inspect all the wiring that is linking the switch to the actual motherboard and PSU for faults. If the wiring is connected correctly, and the switch housing is not damaged, This will confirm that the PSU has failed. Replace the damaged PSU asap. This will correct the issue.

Dell optiplex mini tower wont turn on

Make sure the power is being supplied from a working source, then check if the switch on the bottom-back of the computer is switched on. If the power button still doesn't work, try holding the button down for 10 seconds. Next, try switching the switch off, unplugging the computer for at least 30 seconds, plugging it back in, switching the switch back on, and pressing the button.

MY DELL IS OPTIPLEX 760SFF, IT NOT BOOTING, SHOWING AMBER LIGHT ON THE POWER BUTTON WHEN PLUG TO POWER.

Hi,
If this the light is solid amber in the front of the computer.Try doing the following steps

1. Disconnect the power cable from the back of the system tower. Press the power button on the tower 30 seconds.
2. Reconnect the power cable to the back of the system tower and power it back on.

If the amber light is on the monitor power button and the tower power button is off or blinking amber it could mean that it is a bad power supply.

My vostro 200 slim tower wont turn on PLZ READ FULL

There could be a hardware problem on the computer if the power button led light is "Orange/ or amber", if you can open the computer, try removing one memory card at a time and see if the power button will change.

Emachine t5026 not power on. replaced psu.

I would test the memory. Also I think some computers will shut down if the fan on top of the CPU quits working. Or maybe one of the other fans or the Hard Drive quit and is drawing too much juice causing the PSU to shut down. It sounds like something may be grounding.
