Go to lexmark website, look for drivers. download them.(save) run the down load- you'll probably get an install wizard. run it, and your lexmark should be back in service! good luck!

To scan documents to your computer, you will need the Lexmark OCR scan software which can be installed using only the installation software CD that came with your printer. If you lost the disc, contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for assistance. How to Install BVRP FaxTools Software on the Lexmark X6130/X6150/X6160/X6170/X6190 Pro

The FaxTools software is on the Lexmark X6100 Series Installation
CD. During installation of the printer driver, you will be asked
whether you want to install it. If you choose to cancel this option
during the installation process, you can install the software
separately as follows:
Insert the Lexmark X6100 Installation CD into the CD-ROM drive.
When the Install Software screen appears, click Cancel.
Right click on the Start button and select Explore.
Click on the plus sign (+) beside My Computer .
Click on the plus sign (+) beside the Lex X6100 CD.
Double-click on the FAX folder.
Double-click on the relevant language folder on the right-hand side.
Double-click on the Setup executable. (Note: The correct setup icon is the one with two white arrows on a grey foreground.)
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
my lexmark x6100 having problem to work with my window vista. i am very desappointed and very upset.and i can't uninstall it to reinstall again please help
Go to www.lexmark.com and click on Drivers & Downloads then Driver Finder. I did not see the X6100, but I saw the X6150 and X6170, hopefully that's what you have. You need to download the correct driver depending on what operating system you have. In other words, do you have Windows XP or Vista?
