Nokia N96 water damage?

it is a sad face and it is damaged,maybe water damaged,need a new motherboard

Not sure who your service provider is ... try doing a hard reset. Pull out the battery and the sim card if it has one while the phone is still on. While you have the battery out check the warranty sticker there should be one on the phone under the battery and one on the battery itself. It should be white with maybe some red X's. If it is all red you have water damage. Also take the battery and look at it from it's side to see if you notice and raising or bubbles on it; another indication of water damage. The battery should be 100% flat and even. If the answer is yes then replacing the battery may fix the problem but you will more than likely need a new phone.

There is another way.

Your dad's N96,restarts because of some files is the phone is corrupted and it needs to be formated through software. it might be from images,videos,audios,especially downloads from the internet can cause does damages..

Take it to a repairer to format and restore the memory of the phone and your dad can enjoy his fun again.take care.

probibly lcd is damage need change.go to NOKIA service.you cant solve problem at home

this is because your displayhas been damaged so please give your phone to a original nokia service centre and change the display.

There is one of the following problems with your phone.

• LCD of your phone disconnected from the connector inside the casing.
• LCD had been damaged and need to replace by a new LCD.
  

nope you killed it you are going to have to get a new one cause you messed it up by missing those two resistors
