Hey - I have this same problem, except it does the same thing on multiple printers - leading me to believe the problem is within the file. It's a PDF converted to Black & White, but this happens on the original color version of the pdf too. I'm stumped. -horizontal White streaks through the photos ONLY.
>streaks on the print outs could mean the cartridge need cleaning, running low on ink or defective
>try the steps on this links, this should resolve your issue

Clean your printer head and nozzle with printer utility software. Hope it would solve your problem, if not, change black cartridge. Thanks.

Thanks for the tip...the problem is NOT a black line but a wide yellow line on the right side of the paper. It starts out about a quarter of the page in width and diminishes in size to about a half inch in width after many repeated scans.
The glass IS clean , and even when the glass had some smudges here and there, I never had a yellow stripe problem!
Scanner bulb is bright and even the entire length of bulb (no dark areas) so I don't think it is the bulb!

Sounds like the fuser.
stop the printing before it comes out of
the exit rollers by powering it off.
If half your page is good its the fuser.

The problem is that that there a small piece of glass that the doc feeder use's to scan the orginal. You will have to clean the small glass it's about a half of a inch piece and is normally under the doc feeder unit. It will either be to the right side of the main copy board glass or it is under the doc feed unit where the paper goes down through the feeder. It is mostly some white out on the glass, just clean with a dam cloth with water or windex..... Good Luck
