Poor cell reception and short battery life

Either you are in a poor reception area, or you have gsm only connected or your aerial on the phone is not making a proper connection due to recent water ingress or attempted dismantling.
you should be able to check 3G reception for your area over the Internet google 3G your location to ascertain if you get good coverage, if you do then it's probably the phone carrier settings, if they are correct then I would consider physical connection of aerial in phone.it is possible to add an aerial foil to improve reception in some phones or change carrier.

battery life actually depends on how much you use the phone. you'll find it on the manual that you have, (product specs). age of the phone shortens the battery life aswell. its also normal for the phone to heat up when we're charging it (but make sure its only warm and not super hot). none original chargers (imitations, local) can make the phone too hot too. so first things to check would be these, but if you're using all original parts for your phone, and if the phone is not even a year old, and you think its too hot when being charged and you're seldomly using it for calls or internet in a day, then bring it to a samsung shop so that they can replace it for you ;)

short battery life is contributed to these,
1. Old battery 2. Lots of apps running in the background 3. Taking lots of photos 4. Charging the phone when it does not need a full charge 5. Leaving your phone in direct heat or cold 6. Dropping the phone 7. Leaking battery 8. 1 year or more old battery 9. Continuously talking and charging at the same time 10. Ensure to contact your insurance to see if the battery is protected under your plan.

Hi, What causes the battery usage to be short life span is becausethe battery cell of the battery is dead and too weak to power on the phone for too long.

You will need to replace the battery with another one.
Before you use the battery, you will need to charge for longer hours(4to 6 hours) before you use.

i have had the same problem - try adjusting your display settings - if they are on the brightest and longest setting - go to settings and then dispaly and light setting and adjust them them - the battery life was really short (less than a day) i have changed all of my setting to a lower setting and now it lasts for days!! - really simple but it works ! :)

Well, it depends on the type of phone as to why your device is only lasting 2 days of battery power.

Limited service, is when your not getting any reception, Samsungs usually always get low reception or no reception at all if the battery is low or dying... Remove the sim card, reinsert it into the handset, charge the phone and try again...

If it still doesnt work and the sim card does work in other handsets, its still covered under the Samsung warranty if its less than 12 months old.

You do have some hope left, there are special routers that you can buy to create a small cell zone that goes through your internet connection. They are pretty expensive.   http://www.wi-ex.com/      is where you can find one.

Try going with an extended life battery. My blackjack does the same thing I have a second battery I charge. Or you can just purchase an extended life battery.
