6310 - Printing from PC and faxing work fine. Problem is with copying. It appears to start the process and the display shows "copying". It pulls the paper partially through and then nothing. When power is pulled the paper will feed through. But it still will not copy when power is plugged in again. Thanks.

1. Your issue is possibly due to an un-sent message in the queue of the fax spool a. unplug the fax and wait 30 second then plug it back in the AC socket. 2. check the display window to see if you can fax 3. Select the fax button punch in your fax number if you hear dialing then the fax is sending. Wait for a fax response. Repeat steps 2 and 3 if not sending. If this is a multifuncitoning device clear all printing on the PC and try fax again.
"Call blocked" refers to the phone system caller ID name; this has nothing to do with the Fax function of the HP6310. Some callers block their name from showing up on your phone's call ID display.
Make sure you're using the website's printer-friendly option when printing the ticket. Look for an option on the webpage (not in the pull-down file menu) that will correctly format the information for printing.

I work with Hp It is not that you cant fax from the solution centre but the fact that windows vista has an updated version of the registry which will not allow faxing from the pc unless you have windows Vista ultimate. Im not trying to blame Microsoft instead of Hp but I have taken calls where customers cannot fax using hp solution centre in vista and I started checking the registry and there is one component in Windows Vista Ultimate that is present which willl allow you to fax but This same registry entry is not there in other Windows Vista's. That is why I prefer using windows Xp rather to Darn Vista
ok..first try to make a copy and check if it copies fine or not..
if it copies then hardware is working fine..
turn off the laptop and unplug the USB cable..
turn on the laptop and wait for 5mins and then connect the USB cable..once the USB cable is connected do not try printing..wait for the hardware to get installed..
and then go to the printers folder and check if the printer icon says 0 ready..if it says then try printing..that should work
