E73 is a simple one to fix, ive done loads and they are the exactly the cause or the same as the e74 and to fix you need to strip your machine down and re-heat the solder points especially concentrating on the back end of the motherboard near the ANA chip and ethernet chip.

ive been warned not to provide guides on helping you but just to say you can find step by steps on the internet free.

One red light

The lower-right quadrant of the Ring of Light flashes red on the front of your Xbox 360 console. You also receive the following error message in multiple languages on your television screen or monitor:
System Error. Contact Xbox Customer Support. This message begins with an error code in the format "Exx," where xx is a two-digit number.

The following indicator will flash on and off repeated on the front panel of your Xbox 360 console:

If one red light is flashing and you receive a different error message or error code than those that were described previously or you don’t receive an error message or code, your console may be experiencing a different issue. In this case, see "References/links."

This problem occurs when your Xbox 360 console experiences a hardware failure.

  1. Turn off your console, disconnect and reconnect all cables, and then turn on your console.
  2. If an Xbox Hard Drive is attached to your console, turn off your console, and then remove the Xbox Hard Drive. Turn on your console, and test for the error. If the error does not reoccur, turn off your console and reattach the Xbox Hard Drive. Run alternate additional tests by having the Xbox Hard Drive connected and disconnected to see whether the error occurs only when the Xbox Hard Drive is connected. For more information if the on-screen alphanumeric error is E67, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: 917874 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/917874/ ) One of the lights on the Ring of Light on the front of your Xbox 360 console flashes red and you receive one of the following error codes and message: "E67, or E68, or E69. System Error. Contact Xbox Customer Support"
  3. If an Xbox Memory Unit (MU) is plugged in to your console, turn off your console, and then remove the Memory Unit. Turn on your console again, and test for the error. If the error does not reoccur, turn off your console and reinsert the MU. Run alternate tests by having the MU connected and disconnected to see whether the error occurs only when the MU is connected.
  4. If this problem continues to occur, contact Xbox Customer Service. Note If the agent cannot help you resolve this problem, you must return your console to Microsoft for repair.

XBOX 360 Error Codes

There are several error codes you can get with an XBOX 360, the first step to resolving any problem is finding the root cause. The fault codes are primarily shows on the "ring" on the front of your console (this is the ring split into 4 segments that shows when controllers are connected and what player position they are).

  • 1 SEGMENT FLASHING RED - Thisindicates a displayable error code, the specific error code will bebeing displayed on the TV you have it connected too.
  • 2 SEGMENTS FLASHING RED - The console has overheated.
  • 3 SEGMENTS FLASHING RED - This is the somewhat infamous RROD (Red Ring Of Death).
  • 4 SEGMENTS FLASHING RED - AV cable not detected.

If you have 1 segment flashing red indicating a displayable specific error code then you can identify the fault from the list below.

  • E45 - Update Error.
  • E64, E65, E66 - DVD Drive Error.
  • E67, E68, E69, E79 -Hard Drive Error.
  • E71 - Update Error.
  • E72 - Unknown.
  • E73 - General Hardware Error.
  • E74 -AV cable error.
  • E76 - Unknown.
This is a basic overview of all the fault codes for the XBOX 360, for more in depth information on the faults and how to repair them please see my other tips!

I have one red ring on my xbox360 elite its on the 4rth controller port how do i fix it please tell me

Try the following resolutions in the order in which they are listed:
  1. Turn off your Xbox 360 console, disconnect and reconnect all cables, and then again turn on your console. If this step doesn't resolve the problem, try step 2.
  2. Turn off the console, and then disconnect any connected accessories, such as controllers, Xbox 360 Memory Units, and the Xbox 360 Hard Disk. With these accessories removed, restart the console to see whether the problem persists and to pinpoint whether the problem involves the console or an accessory. If this step doesn't resolve the problem, try step 3.
  3. If you continue to experience the problem, contact Xbox Customer Service.

If the Xbox Customer Service agent cannot help you resolve the problem, you may have to return your Xbox 360 console to Microsoft for repair. For more information about how to contact Xbox Customer Support or to request repair of your Xbox 360 console, please visit the Xbox Support (http://www.xbox.com/support/) Web site.

Red light

Try the following to resolve the problem:
  1. Turn off your Xbox 360 console, disconnect and reconnect all cables, and then turn your Xbox 360 console back on. If this step doesn't resolve the problem, try step 2.
  2. Turn off the console, and then disconnect any connected accessories, such as controllers, Xbox 360 memory units, and the Xbox 360 hard disk. With these accessories removed, restart the console to see whether the problem persists and to pinpoint whether it is the console or an accessory. If this step doesn't resolve the problem, try step 3.
  3. If you continue to experience the problem, contact Xbox Customer Service. If the Xbox Customer Service agent cannot help you resolve the problem, you may have to return your Xbox 360 console to Microsoft for repair.
This is usually the similar sort of problem to what causes the 3rrod (3 red rings of death) and can be fixed by trying the above or by re-heating the mainboard with a heat gun and this in turn will reseat the solder point. we also fix this error www.fixmyconsole.co.uk

Xbox 360 elite 1 red light

When you get any of these messages appearing on your screen with one red light flashing on the ROL of your Xbox 360 console that's an indicator of a hardware problem with the console connection to one of the parts connected to it as the hard drive or cables.
So, first disconnect all power and AV cables from the back of your Xbox 360 console and also unplug the power cord from the wall socket, wait for a minute then reconnect them all back and try to turn on your Xbox 360 console once more.
If that doesn't work, it seems then to be a fault with your Xbox 360 hard drive so turn off the console again and remove the hard drive then turn on your Xbox 360 console without the hard drive, supposed then to work fine, it might be an intermittent issue and when you reconnect the hard drive your Xbox 360 will work fine all after, or it will just work fine without the hard drive so it will be then definitely a fault with your Xbox 360 hard drive so call Xbox 360 customer support to exchange the hard drive for you.
The number for Microsoft is usually listed on the back of any game manual.

I hope I was able to fixya problem, and Happy Gaming!
