It doesn't print anything, the paper just comes

I have a Canon i960 printer and it doesn't print anything, the paper just comes out blank. I got new ink for it but it still doesn't print. If you know how to help, that would be greatly appreciated.

Has this printer ever printed for you? Did you remove the sealing tape from the nozzle?

My i960 will not print colors correctly ( magenta) on photo paper ( used Kodak an Costco). Prints on paper ok.
It will not feed paper when doing a 'cleaning' od 'deep cleaning'. It will feed paper for other functions.
Thanks for your help in advance

SOURCE: canon i960 won't print black

You'll need a new printhead, once they plug that bad nothing gets them clean again. Make sure the tape is off the top of the cartridge as well

SOURCE: my printer keeps printing greenish and blue/yellow

I fixed this problem for free with advice from the canon experts at the canon website, without them trying to sell me anything like a "plan" as your website has proposed.

I just replaced the black and cyan ink in my i960 printer -- now nothing prints at all -- blank pages. I checked to make sure all of the packaging was off the cartridges

Run the Canon printer-software to launch a "print-head-cleaning" task,
because you may have "clogged" ink-jets, so that no ink can be sprayed onto the paper.

Test to see if FIXYA "censors" some words:

Start with the word CALM ( calm ) and swap the middle letters: **** ( **** ),
as in the ****-shell model of Apple portable computer,
or a cell-phone that opens like a ****-shell.

Do you see <star><star><star><star> instead of the word?
How about STUCK ( stuck ) and omit the 'T' to become: **** ( **** ),
as in "the printer sucks ink from the ink-tanks and jets the ink onto the paper".

Canon i960 qill not put ink on paper

I called Canon. I also had green 1 flash and amber 1flash everytime I turned on the printer. That right there indicates an elecrical problem. The flashes mean it needs serviced and with it not printing now means it's not wirth fixing, out of warranty. Canon did offer a code for reduced price new or referbished print from them.

Canon i960 prints but no ink on page-new printhead (not clogged)

Sounds like the print head is no good. This happens. Here's a link to a site that sells them reasonably.

I960 canon printer

Lift lid ,let carriage stop in middle, un-plug the printer > Remove all ink tanks > Remove print head > Soak print head in > 3 parts very warm water an 1 part ammonia over night. Rinse under faucet with water directly over ink ports, shake out excess water,(if when you shake it out and if color still comes out repeat soaking for another hour or two and rinsing again ,HAD TO DO MINE TWICE) let air dry. (hair drier helps) Cured my problem for a while ,but if not used almost every day, this will happen again, I also use compatible ink tanks. Don'T believe the inks are as good as Canon Ink. But who the hell can afford them. So fill your owe with Canon ink from Canon. Still seems that the cyan always dries up first. Good luck Lestero1
