I cannot figure out how to get to the fan blades to clean them. I have tried everything! The blades collect with dust and dog hair. I keep looking for a open latch or something. Can you please help?
I used a can of compressed air to clean my fan blades and this did the job. I bought a 6-pack of 3M Dust Remover at Sams Club to save money. Hope this helps.

Overview of damage and possible fan problem with Honeywell Air Purifier. ... Honeywell QuietClean Compact ...
take it to your nearest gas station and get the air hose and spray it with the air then take some w-d 40 and with the long red tube attachment that comes with it spray it in the middle moving parts of the fan.the air from the air hose might turn the blades so stick a pencil or something in there first to keep blades from rotating then spray the dust off the blades with the airhose
The fan needs oiling (except for the Fresh Air, which has sealed bearings and no removable front grid). I need to know which model you have to help you reach the fan shaft. However, if you're handy, you can figure it out. Remove the front grid (if there is one on your model) and pull off the fan blades. Use a light household oil (sewing machine, hair clipper, 3-in-1) to drip down the shaft as you turn it manually. This should take care of the problem.
If not, and if you need more extensive repairs or rebuilding, call Vollara (new name for EcoQuest) customer service at 1-800-989-2299 and use 16618 as your dealer referral number.
