Blank disc Will the CDP-CX220 play CD-R blank disc

That is the type of disc I am using.The songs are already downloaded on the cd but it wont play in the player.Thats why I was asking if those CDs were compatible

You take it to a Sony Service Centre. They are dangerous to work on, and Sony 'do things their own way'.

Hi, I have just received a CDP-CX355 purchased via ebay. It's in pristine condition, but when I try to play CD's it's only playing up to 20 seconds of track 1, then repeating. I can't stop it doing this....

I have a sony CDP-CX235 200 disc CD player? If I want to create my own cd with music, any idea what type of disc and file formats I need to use?

First, I'd get a CD recorder. This machine is only a player.

Consumer CD Recorders will require CD-R Audio or CD-R Music blank media to record.

Spin motor or pickup is bad. Replace the unit. Expence to repair for this age machine not practical.

Cd's always skip

You have done well for 10 years laser changes are in order

When a cd skips it is due to laser diode becoming weak over time not producing an original beam causing focus prolbems ,hence skipping discs

It sounds like there is a cd tray alignment problem, there is no quick fix, all i could suggest is to send it to us or take it to your nearest dealer.
