Keep reading "ventilate" on the screen

It will not do anything it just reads ventilate. I had this problem before so i took it apart and cleaned it all out and then it was fine. A few months on the same has happend and the same procedure as befor is not working , it will also not seem, to produce any steam from the milk steamer ...? Please Help

    Well first it said the dredge drawer was full but it wasn't. So we took it out and put it back a couple of times. Then it said ventilate and we can't figure out how to do that.

    Only used machine a few times and can't get rid of the "Ventilate" on the display and the machine is disabled.

    Yes, I have the same problem. When I turn the machine on it shows "ventilate" on the screen and you can't do anything with the it.

    I tried to clean the hot water valve but didn't solve the problem.

    What is the next step??? Tx Mike

    I have a royal cappuccino and has ventilate on screen. I used the hot water button and has hot water coming out of steamer nozzle but not milk frother.

    Ventilate is still displayed after doing this, WHAT DO I DO TO FIX... PLEASE HELP

Running hot water button a few times worked for us

    !00% middle CPU board problem. Cause most likely by the main boiler leaking water on the board , You will be up for a boiler and CPU board to fix this common issue. Regards

I ran the hot water for about 1 minute and VENTILATE went away. phew! I need my espresso!

Can you run hot water through the machine by using the hot water button on the front?

If not, then this is your issue. To remove the ventilate message you must be able to run hot water through the machine through the hot water valve. On the royal professional, due to lack of maintanence or due to not using the hot water valve at all it jams (scaling buildup) and you can do nothing about it. You can try to descale, however, 99% of the time we have to take them apart and clean the valve by hand.

Mine will play for a bit then stop. I Used to fix laptops, so I recognized the symptom to be most commonly associated with overheating. Do not use the player on cloth or anything that will suffocate heat ventilization. I set it on a frozen pizza and it works fine. I'm going to try to return it but if I can't I'll just have to keep it cold or ventilated.

Getting a red error screen.
Disc Read Errors are mainly due to weak lens or dirty lens.You must clean your PS3 lens.Watch this video it will guide you for cleaning lens.And read the precautions too.


This laser is super sensitive. Do not touch it with your finger or anything that could potentially damage it or leave a mark.

1) Canned Air. Get a can with a mini straw and blow it out pretty good. If it's giving you problems, blow out the ventilation ports as well.

2) Disc Cleaner. Best buy makes a disc cleaner that looks like a DVD. This is not the best way to go but it might work. Ask an employee what they recommend using.

3) Q-tip. If you have already opened it; or are past warranty and desperate to get it cleaned, open up the console and with a Q-tip dipped in a very small amount of rubbing alcohol (make sure it's not wet, just damp) SUPER LIGHTLY give the laser one good rub.

Please make sure you're giving it a good means of ventilation and ensure to never put it on carpet.

Can not read disk error. Cleaning the disk will not fix the problem. The disks are all clean. Can the console be taking apart and clean?
well it could be the drive its self or maybe laser but it does sound like the laser i am not to sure cause i ve never really took a wii apart yet

My xbox wont read my game disc
if you can't send the xbox back to Microsoft this worked for me.
The 360 would spin the game up and say reading but than stop and do nothing.
I took the case apart, took out the cd drive, took that apart so i could get to the laser.
put a little big of very clean water on a q-tip, wipe the laser lens down and use the dry side to dry it off.  put it somewhat back together and test, this worked fine for me, it read a disk no problem.

My xbox 360 keeps on restarting on its own
about the only thing I can recomend is make sure all connections are tight inside,because the most common thing to cause random resets is if a cable is loose,and the vibration causes it to make intermittent connection,shorting out and resetting.

Wont read new discs only call of duty 4
It may just be that your dvd drive's laser is dirty (idk how) but thats what was wrong with mine. It would say that there way no disk or that my 260 games were dvds, then I took it apart and cleaned the laser. That fixed my problem so it might work for your system just google "how to take apart 360" and you should find some guides of taking it apart. Anyway hope this helps!

If the DVD is not reading any CD, then it is often a lens problem.

If th lens cleaner does not work the unit must be taken apart, to clean the lens pickup with isopropyl alcohol and soft cotton tips.

In some case is necessary to replace the lens pickup, as this is defective.

PS3 wont read games or blu ray,but will read dvd's and music cd
It rarely actually helps to clean the laser for the PS3. It needs a new laser because the old one is "burnt out". It's a really common problem with them.

I buy mine at http://parts.consolerepairguy.com they run about $75 each.

I run a repair business and that place has best prices aside from Hong Kong which I don't trust.

It will turn on
sounds like you have a laser eye off track,or dirty one.try using a cleaning kit first this may solve your issue without having to do anything.if this doesnt solve it then please post again and i will walk you through what we need to look at
