Phone shuts itself off

When I push the center menu button or when dialing out my phone will automatically shut itself off. Then, when I try to turn it back on it takes it a few minutes before I can get it to work. I can answer IF it stays on buy can't dial out now. The phone is only 2 mos. old.

That would be great except I put my SIM card & battery from my 2 mo. old phone (battery is only 2 mos old also) in my old phone & all works fine in it. But the new phone still shuts off if I push the menu button or most any other except to answer. Thanks though.

I had a similar problem, and replacing the battery fixed it for me. I got a new one on eBay for less than a dollar, and didn't have to send the phone in for service.

Since then, the phone has not shut itself off again as it often had in the past.

You may want to try resetting the phone through the settings menu as well. If you do this, it will wipe the data on the phone and return it to factory defaults. If you still have trouble after that, then there is a defect in the phone hardware.

If you bought the phone from a carrier, I'd definitely hit them up for some warranty love. Otherwise, if these steps don't help, a repair shop could get it working for you pretty quickly, and usually for a low cost.

Urgent help needed Panasonic phone can't call out or receive calls

Disconnect all the phones. Then plug in one simple phone to the main incoming phone jack. This is normally a larger box and near the front door or incoming power distribution board. If that works, you have a faulty phone somewhere in the house. If that phone fails, your telco cut you off or there is a line fault.

I have a Nikon d3300 that turns off automatically after i take a photo - can you assist

If the screen display is shutting off, that's a normal function. If the camera is entirely shutting off it might be a bad battery or a very weak battery.

Nokia6263when i switch it on it shows a white screen and aflickering screen it shuts itself down icant dial or see the numbers besides this it just do things with out a command

There are only three possible cause of the problem:

1. Defective LCD

2. Defective battery or components - if the battery is defective or if there are some faulty components inside, the phone is not getting the right amount of power that it should get. So the phone usually shuts off.

3. Corrupted firmware - once you have a corrupted firmware, the phone might not either work correctly when opening some applications, or it would automatically shut off.

You need to bring the phone to the Nokia Care Center near you. If the phone is under the warranty period, you will not pay even a single cent. However, if it's out of the warranty, the charge is low.

Thank you and good luck!

SAMSUNG SLIDE SHUT/LOCK

If it's the SGH-D900i phone that you have... Go to Menu... Settings.... Phone settings... Slide Settings... in there you have to change the "Down" from 'Continue operation' to 'stop operation'... save and slide the phone shut, that should once again lock the keypad.
