Casablanca fan is not working!!

This fan was running great up until about 2 days ago. Now it will not turn on (fan or lights) When I push the fan button is flickers the lights once and turns off. Is there a 'reset' switch that I can use to fix this? I have already turned it off and turned the power off to that switch with no luck.

Please help!!

PS: I'm not sure what the fan model type is because I moved here and it was previously installed. It has the intellitouch system.

The controler board has gone out due to either a power surge, overheating or too much wattage in the lamps. There are two types of of controlers and both are subject to this kind of failure. Here's a troubleshooting link

The control board is poorly designed for home use. Protection circuitry is inexpensive and commonly used in equipment. Screwing in a light bulb with the power on should not destroy a $150 control board. The control board should sense the problem, shut down the system, and trigger an alarm light.

Casablanca stealth fan light scrapes against blade surround

There are two probable causes. One, the light housing has been pushed/bent up into the rotating assembly, which is possible if the fan were ever removed from the ceiling and sat on the glass.

If it has never been removed however, the most likely cause is that the Allen Set screw on the flywheel has loosened allowing the flywheel to slip down the motor shaft. It's a purely mechanical problem and if memory serves, to get to the flywheel, you remove the light pan and it's right there. Find the set screw, loosen it enough so that the flywheel is easy to move up and down and raise it up a bit and then cinch it down tight. It's a fairly common problem and for the life of me I cannot understand why Casablanca would not use loctite on that set screw. I mean you pay $500+ for a fan, it should outlast you, right?

Casablanca fan only runs at highest speed

When I turn on any of the fan speeds fan does not come on. When I remove the blades and turn on the ceiling fan on and give it a push the fan stays running. What could it be?

Ceiling fan light flecker

Grinding indicates failed bearings. This is causing excess load in the motor and that is causing the flickering. This is not a user repair and would like cost around $130.00 for labor and bearing assuming you find a shop willing to do it. Most fans have pressed bearings and are very cheap.

My casablanca fan versa touch 2 does not respond to remote control - batery is fine, breaker fuse too. I recall having a same problem some time ago, forgot, how I fixed it - I know it was something with...

I believe there is a dipswitch, and a non- dipswitch version. To sinc the remote to receiver, shut power off to the fan receiver by either a switch or breaker for about 10 minutes, turn power back on and press Hi, Medium, Low on the remote in that order. this should get them "talking" again. Our casablanca ceiling fan has power going to the fan and the remote works but the fan does not nor does the light

If you have the intelitouch system, It's probably the circuit board in the fan. Casablanca has great motors but touchy boards. I ordered mine from www.fanmanlighting.com and installed it myself, it wasn't too difficult. Hope this helps

If you have more than one fan and they have remote controls they may be set to the same frequency. You can re set one fan to operate at a different frequency. The instructions ar in the manual or online.
