Wiring diagram for craftsman lawn tractor model 944.601140, 14 hp, 38 inch deck

  • marcsin Sep 29, 2009

The lawn tractor purchased from Sears Canada. The part number is the Canadian version. I called Sears Canada Parts to see if I can get a cross reference number to the 917.... number sequence but had no success. I thinking that maybe a similar craftsman tracker ie 14hp might have the same wiring. The issue I have is that a short has burnt and fused a portion of the wiring on my tractor. I should be able to confirm if a comparable diagram might be the same by comparing it to the existing layout.

SORRY BUT THE NUMBER YOU GIVE HERE IS NOT A GOOD SEARS MODEL NUMBER. SEARS/CRAFTSMAN LAWN TRACTOR MODEL NUMBERS ARE ALWAYS 917.??????

I know this is an old post, but I wanted to add clarity for those who come across it. The model number is correct, I have the same one. No schematic sorry, I am looking for a manual myself.

Craftsman Lawn tractor 20 hp twin clynder briggs with a 42 inch deck I need a model number the plate is unreadable

Maybe this will help. The mower deck part # 165892. Mower Deck Assembly 42" I not sure of the model # . I also don't know your tractor's model # either. This part # for the 42" mower deck,is installed on a 18.5 HP Craftsman Lawn Tractor. I believe there isn't any difference between a model !8.5 HP and a model 20.0 HP, tractor when it comes to a mower deck. B.Locke

Need routing diagram for 38"lawn tractor sears craftsman model number 917.255590

Go to www.sears.com. Click on partsdirect on the top toolbar. Enter the model number. When you get to that page on the right side of page there will be a place about getting manual for that model. Click on it then when it loads click on view manual. Then go to page 20 and it will have a routing diagram for you.

Good luck. Let me know if this helps you.
