sounds like a loose power connection or bad wiring in the engine compartment. Check battery cables and ground connections at both ends of wires and cables first. If the problem remains, test equipment and a wiring diagram would come in handy.

Find where the throttle cable connects to the butterfly valve on your carb. Twist the throttle and see if the butterfly valve is sticking open. Your cable or the valve itself might be stuck, and needs lubed. The sell tools to shoot compressed oil into the throttle cable sleve, or start cleaning / oiling hte carb depending on what you determine is sticking.
You can check the manual that came with the Remote starter. If you do not have one try look it up on line. You can try call the people that install that kind of remote starter. Some started do a lot more than start your car and the only way to know is to look at the manual. You are trying to find out if it is has a ignition kill command.
check for short circuit , ground fault, ignition switch problem.
check wires on ignition for damage, burns from short. if car starts occasionally and gives problem it will get worse, not safe
