Check the cmos setting by pressing f2 or del button,, and restore factory settings, and save and exit from cmos and restart,,
Hi all,
I've got from friend the same Satelite A60 System Unit with the same problem:
During power on, it shows: Check System, press [F1]
pressing F1 or F2 won't do anything. So I dismanteled the whole laptop,
but I've problem to located where the cmos battery is.
I read about possible solution that is to press power button after the external
buttery is pulled out, but I've not tried it yet, it is stil dismanteled now.
Another question is:
I saw there is a wire connected the left button pin of U552 to the upper pin of R33,
and I'm not sure if this connection is the original from toshiba or it is being added
by other technician, and for what purpose it is? (the laptop has been dismanteled
several time, according to my observation of the mainbord)
Can anyone helps me further, TIA??

Insert the Toshiba A60 recovery disc into the CD/DVD-ROM drive.
Power off the Toshiba (with the recovery disc still loaded inside the optical drive).
Release the "F12" key when the" In Touch with Tomorrow TOSHIBA" screen is displayed. This will open up the BIOS.
Change the boot order by using the arrow keys to select "CD/DVD ROM" icon in the menu. The Toshiba will now boot from the recovery disc and restore the system. Follow any additional on-screen instructions.
