It is shorting out, model GRX-W Bunn

You said "...turned vacation switch back on". In fact, it should be turned off for normal use.

If that's not the problem, and it's plugged into a GFCI outlet, press the RESET button (do not press the "test" button).

If still no joy, plug something else into that outlet to see if it works. If it doesn't, check the circuit breaker for that outllet.

I would guess that the wire or plug in bad. It could also be the off an on switch

Don't know about a recall, but the most common cause is a bad element.

Complain loudly to Bunn, they fixed mine for free.

If you just bought this brewer, ask your retailer if they will replace it. if not, you can get ahold of the bunn warranty department in your country. they will give you instructions on getting a replacement. This brewer has a dead short in it.
