After the 6 minutes, what happens? Does Windows finally load? Does it power OFF?
Let's assume Windows eventually does load. The problem wouldn't be the monitor, instead look at your boot devices. You "could" have a USB Flash drive installed on your computer and that may affect the boot process. Try removing any external USB drives from your computer and try booting again. If it does load quicker, you have to check the internal configuration / setup screens on your computer. There is a boot sequence or boot order sequence that needs to be altered.
You can buy the program from any of the computer stores or on line from Microsoft web site.
OR
You can down load the same from MS Office site by paying the necessary payment.
Please note that it is not free. My sincere advice is to buy the program on CD then to down load it .
There can be errors/corruptions while down loading where as with CD nothing can go wrong and it is available to you at later stage if anything goes wrong.
are you trying to put win 10 on as it can do this some time, can take upto 10 15 min to load, when the like is flashing its dos, when the screen is black its windows it takes some time for windows to find a driver and load it so the screen comes up. i've had this on a200's before. if you keep rebooting you will need to wipe the hard drive and start again. this also does this on win 7 and 8. win xp it does not do this as its full dos setup .

First thing you're gonna want to try is reseating the memory.
Second, see if you can get into the bios by pressing F2, F10, DEL key it depends see if you see something on the screen, sometimes pressing ESC does it. It all depends.
check the video cable
and see if it;s properly seated.
run the laptop with something that uses memory. if the video chip it going to show signs of problems, it will be more prominent when the laptop gets hot.
most cases laptop motherboards have integrated video cards and cannot be replaced.
