Try and reset the Netgear wireless router back to the default settings and then configure the wireless router again.
There is a reset button at the back of the router, use a sharp object and press the reset button until the LEDs flash, then release the reset button.
If you remember the previous settings ie SSID and encryption etc. then enter them again, don't forget to change the default password.
If you don't remember these settings, just create new ones and then configure the wireless cards in the computer with these router settings.

My iphone 4 has become slow to connect to my Netgear DGNDv2 modem router. The connection used to be really quick but now I have to repeatedly tap the refresh button on the iphone to get it t connect.

Things That Affect Wireless Router Signals
1. Many wireless routers are using the same wireless channel. Many manufacturers choose channel 6 as the default. Change to another channel. 2. Analogue video senders used to send audio and video to other TVs in the home. 3. Microwave ovens emit interference in the 2.4GHz band. 4. Wireless speakers and console controllers can cause interference with the wireless router. 5. Bluetooth devices, newer Bluetooth devices can jump to different frequencies if there is a connection problem. 6. Power cables located near the wireless router can cause dropouts and speed reduction. 7. Fish tanks will cause massive Wi-Fi shadow on the other side of the tank from the wireless router. 8. Depending upon the location of large mirrors will reflect wireless signal away your computer. 9. Building materials will block wireless signals such as plasterboards with metal foil, reinforced concrete walls and floors. Also objects near the wireless router such as metal filing cabinets and other electrical appliances. 10. Blinking Christmas lights can reduce Wi-Fi performance by 25% when it is close to the wireless router.

How to Set Up a Netgear WGR614 V5 Wireless Router
Netgear routers--like all wireless routers--give you the opportunity to access the Internet with your laptop or wireless-adapted computer from virtually anywhere in your house within range of the router's WiFi signal. Though slightly different in appearance from other router models by Netgear, the WGR614 V5 acts similar in its setup process as others such as the WGT624 or WNR1000 series routers.
Things You'll Need:
Netgear WGR615 V5 routerNetgear resource CDEthernet wireBlue network wireModemComputer
1 Prepare to install the Netgear router. Log off and shut down your computer system. Turn your Internet modem off and/or disconnect its power supply from the electrical outlet. Take out the contents of the Netgear router box and verify that all the essentials are present: the resource CD, the yellow wire and the router itself.
2 Connect the Internet modem to the Netgear WGR614 v5 router. Locate the yellow Ethernet wire running from one end of the Internet modem to the computer's Ethernet port. Unhook the computer-end of the Ethernet wire and insert this end into the port on the router labeled "Internet." After inserting, confirm that the wire runs from the modem to the router.
3 Connect the Netgear router to the computer. Grab the blue cable supplied with the router. Securely insert one end of the blue cable into one of the four "LAN" ports on the router (the "LAN" ports are labeled with numbers from 1 to 4). Insert the other end of the blue wire into your computer's Ethernet port.
4 Start your network devices. Turn on or connect your Internet modem to an electrical outlet. Wait for at least two minutes to allow the modem to fully boot. Plug the Netgear router into the wall or electrical outlet as well, and wait one to two minutes. Turn on your computer.
5 Look at the Netgear router to verify that all lights are on. The "power," "Internet" and "wireless" icon symbols on the front of the router should be solidly lit. One of the four "LAN" ports should also be lit with either a green or amber color.
6 Insert the resource CD that came with your Netgear router to launch the "welcome" screen. Select "Router Setup" from the menu to begin the "Smart Wizard" setup application. Read and follow the setup steps, including naming your SSID (secure set identifier) or "network name" and setting a level of wireless security. Finish the setup process, ending with the registration of your Netgear router.
7 Verify that your Netgear router has been set up correctly. Open an Internet browser from both the computer that is connected to the router and on a computer that has a wireless card or adapter. Surf to your favorite Internet sites to verify your connection is working. Open your "network connections" utility on your operating system and make sure it shows that you're connected to your own wireless network.

Trying to connect my iPhone 4 to my WGT624 v3 router. My iPhone is detecting the network, but i'm getting the message "unable to join the network" .

Hi chaps,

I did two things to resolve this issue

1. Downgrade the router to a lower version. If your router is Netgear WGT624 v3 use this link to downgrade your router

http://www.davejackson.com/life/cant-access-wifi-with-ios-6-on-iphone-with-netge ar-wgt624v3-fix/

(this help to avoid getting a errro message "Unable to join network")

2. Reconfigure you Wifi network by going to setting ---->under choose a network---> others-----> Enter your SSID name (seen at the back of your router) ----->under the security tab selet the same encyrption standard as that of your router which you can see when you log in to the router (usually router IP 192.168.1.1) ---->setup ------>wireless setting----> security option. This one helps you to join your home wifi as soon as you enter your home.

I hope this one works as it worked for me happy.gif

How do i pair my iphone to my netgear router? the model number is dg834gu v5

Are you trying to connect WIFI? "pairing" is a bluetooth function. If the router has not already been configured for WIFI, then your iphone should see a local wireless network called Netgear. You should be able to connect to it with your iphone simply by selecting it and answering the security question. If it has already been configured, you should make sure it was setup for WPA or WPA2 (NOT WEP) When it was configured, it should have been setup with a passphrase (key code, encryption key) which you need to intially provide on your iphone to make the connection. Its pretty straight forward.

4. Login to the router with the Username as "admin" and Password as "password" (please note that the Username and Password are case sensitive).
5. Click on WAN setup from left menu. Check the box for 'Disable Dos Protection'.

Had my netgear router for months now and not had a

Solution to intermittent wireless connection is change the wireless channel of the router. Usually the default channel is 6 which is prone to interference. You may try channels 11 and 1. They are the next strongest channel of the router. Try to reset the router first.

Forgot my password on netgear wifi

If I understand your question correctly, you need the wireless key for your network.

1) If you have a computer that connects to the router wirelessly already, you can recover the wireless key by downloading this program: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/wireless_key.html. It will show you the key the computer is using to connect to the network.

2) Log into the router and change the wireless key. You can start here to find the manual for your particular model:
