We just bought a new TomTom One and we keep having to "reset" it to get a screen. The screen is just white if we don't hit reset. When turning the unit on, screen is white, after reset it works properly. Then it will happen again with the next cycle and the only way to get it to work is to reset it. Any ideas? I also am having a problem with startup screen being white when I start it up. Once I hit the reset button the unit comes on perfectly. I just talked to Tomtom, there seems to be no fix you have to send it in and get a new one in return. They will pay for shipping and said it would take 1-2 weeks after they receive it to get a new unit back to you. I found that the Tom Tom one r3rd edition worked fine until I hooked it to my computer, and E machine, via the USB cable. Then when I turned it on all I got was the white screen until I reset it. It has something to do with the computer hook up. I then tried it on my Dell, and I was able to access the computer but I still have to reset before each time I start the unit up. Same thing here, I contacted TomTom support right away(quickest way by phone) and they will tell you to send back the device and they will send you a new one. It doesn't seem like you can fix it on your own. i bought two TomTom Ones for Christmas gifts. They both do the same thing - boots up fine the first time, then requires you to reset for each subsequent time you turn it on - otherwise all you get is a white screen. I just purchased the Tom Tom One in Vancouver - the store recommended it as the "best product on market". Although the manager did warn me that the Tom Tom won't tell me what streets to turn on- he negected to inform me that the model is plagued with the "white screen problem" - so now I'm stuck with the same problem as so many others are & have to return the brand new Tom Tom for something that works. I guess I should have know when I turned it upside down and it said "Made in China"... I'll have to send this toy back with all the others this christmas.
