Your problem may be due to weak/worn out batteries or corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, chances are that your batteries need to be replaced because they're just too worn to properly power the camera. And then, of course, there's the possibility that your camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

Lens doesn't work

Try removing the battery and memory card for at least 15 minutes. With some cameras, this will reset the camera and lens may clear the error message, as long as there is something that is not physically damaged the camera.

Zoom doesn't retract ,battery replaced C330

try this:
1. clean the lens of any dirt or oil
2. remove the batteries, then re-insert them and try again
If that does not work, then you have a bad camera. If your camera is still under warranty, I will repair it for 35.00. If it is out of warranty, then I will fix it for 165.00

Zoom did not operate normally, insert the battery again and turn camera on again Camera doesn't operate normally

Hi had this problem with my WB100. Zoom would come out then pop back in and say zoom nit not operate normally, please put new batteries in and try again or contact bla bla. What i did when the zoom popped out is i held onto it and didnt let it retract back and turned it back on. It worked after that so i guess the zoom must of been a little forced in when it was in use last in when turned on it wasnt fully going forward. Worked for me so worth a shot

Hi,

This indicate that there will be some problem with your camera Lens. Try to follow these steps to resolve the issue:-

1) Switch the camera OFF and then ON again. (May be your camera lens is struggling to extend)
2) Load new or fully charged batteries.

Else your device need service (repair)

Zoom wont adjust

Hi there. I can help you with that.

The number one problem with cameras with lenses that won't retract or or move out into position is dirt, grit or sand in the lens mechanism. The best way to fix this is to get an air compressor and put the tip up the lens and blow air into the space around the lens. Run the tip of the compressor nozzle around the lens and turn the camera back on. See if that helps. If it doesn't do it one more time.
If it helps, great. Stop there. If it doesn't help, let me know in a comment and I will tell you a couple more things to do. I want to wait, because they are things that you should only try if you are ready to trash the camera, but they usually work. Hope the air compressor works.

Lens will not retract

With Battery out try to pull the lens towards outside
Do that gently do Don't rip it off !!!
Probably you will hear a click sound and If you do,
than put the battery back turn on and you should be fine
Every case is different so of the lens is jammed this will help
If the lens assembly is damaged than the only way is to sell the rest of the camera for parts.
