STUCK in RECOVERY MODE

Hi! I just bought a ZEN V Plus 4GB mp3 player. Its brand new and I havent installed any files to it. I used just the fm radio when i opened it until it ran out of battery. I charged the device then when i turned it on, it opened on the recovery mode and now its stuck. I tried to push on the reset button but it wont do any good. Please help me.

    what if the mp3 is not connected to a PC and was never connected to a PC from the day it was bought? Is there something that needs to be done to get out of the Recovery Mode so i can start enjoy it?

Detach your player from the PC if it is connected, and turn off the player.

If the player stops responding, you can reset the player. To reset the player, gently

insert a thin object into the Reset hole located below the power switch.

2. Press and hold the Play button while powering on your player.

3. When the player displays the Creative logo, release the Play button.



It will display the following options:

Clean Up


Scans the player and removes invalid links from its music library.

Does not affect music files themselves.
Format (All)

Caution! Erases all content!

Save a copy of your player's content before formatting.
Reload OS/ Firmware

Caution! Erases your player's firmware.

DO NOT select the Reload Firmware option unless you have access to a PC and you have downloaded the necessary firmware to install.
Reboot Reboots the device.

Hi,
Sounds like the actual firmware is corrupted. You might try loading the firmware on the Recovery Mode by using the firmware upgrade available at Creative's website.

You can upgrade your Creative Zen V Plus to version 1.32.01 through the Creative website.

Open your web browser and navigate the Zen V Plus support page (See Below). Click here > h Click "Download" under "Firmware" and choose to "Save" it to your computer. Connect your Zen to the computer using the Zen USB cable. Double-click the file that was downloaded to your computer to start the installation process. Agree to the terms and wait for the files to be transferred and installed onto your Zen.

holding play button while powering up, then running Clean Up & rebooting did the trick.
