Your in luck, I work for sky as an Engineer.

Firstly go to the main telly where your sky box is.

Using the sky remote press the following buttons.
SERVICES
4
0,1,SELECT
go to RF
In this menu I would set the RF channel to 38 and turn the power ON and then down to save.

now leave it on the blue menu screen (sky menu)

go to the other room where you link from your sky box is connected to.
press the tv button on that remote and then select channel 6 on the remote

Then go into the menu for the tv and then to setup. go to MANUAL TUNE/SEARCH with most new tv you can scroll down to were it says C _ _ you can then input your channel number as 38 the same as you setup on your sky box.

Dont forget to save the settings and that should be you. You should be able to see the sky menu on the telly with the link on. (that is why I asked you to leave the sky menu on that way you know you havent just tuned it into your normal terrestrial channels.

The reason I told you to turn the power onto the link was so that you can purchase a Magic eye. This will allow you to turn your sky box over from the 2nd room without having to keeping going to the main tv to change over.

here is a link to a random site with a picture of a magic eye on. you can purchase these from many places or even Ebay. here is the link anyway.

hope this sort you out. If so please leave a thumbs up

TV link not working with my LG 50PH660V 50-inch Widescreen 1080p Full HD 3D Smart Plasma TV with Freeview HD/600Hz. I connected coax cable to my Sky Box, switching on the RF on, but I can not get it w

Hi Jim, your nearly there, all you need to do is go into the tv menu and move from DTV to the old type channel numbers and then find the bit where you can manually tune the tv to channel 68.
Have a sky menu picture running and you will see it come in.

Hi Martin,

A wiring Schematic is not that you should be looking. What you need is large feeders to understand hot to connect to various ports to give your desired output.

Stopped receiving sky on second tv - does my samsung need a reset

I install a lot of magic eyes etc.

You have checked that the magic eye lights up when it is connected directly into the sky box. So your eye is working correctly.

the next step I would take is with your sky remote in your main room. press SERVICES, 4, 0,1, SELECT go to RF settings and check the rf channel and make sure the power is on. Take a mental note of the channel number.

Now go into the room where the link is feeding. Turn on the TV and go to channel number 6 press your MENU button and then go down to setup. go across to manual install and then down to the channel number type in what you retrieved from you box ie rf channel and then type it in and STORE.

If you go into your main room and just put the normal tv guide on ie blue screen. then check that your getting the sky into the other room. IF you are then great it just needed tuning in. IF not I would remake the coax connectors. as there may be a bit of copper braid touching the centre core. once this is done your sky should be on all you need to do now is put the eye back on. Once you have done this the red light should appear on your magic eye. if not go to your main box and follow the first instructions I gave you and turn the power off on the RF and then save and then go back in and turn it back on and save.

Hope this sorts out your problem

Cheers

Sky upstairs

Yes on the back of the box there is a RF2 output...

run a coaxil aerial cable from there to your required TV, you then need to tune the 2nd tv to the sky box.

You can also buy a 'Magic Eye' and a 'extra remote' this will allow you to change channels from the second destination with only 1 digi box.

Down point is that you have to watch the same channel on both tv's.

a second card and box and a dual LNB will allow you to watch seperate channels.

Unable to Tune TV to Sky + RF output

Hi.

The problem is that the modulator output frequency of your sky box is exactly the same as for example chanel 5 on your terestrial aerial.
You need to change this number to a different one thats clear of local terestrial transmissions

1) Select the Services button on your Sky or Sky+ remote control.

2) Type in 401 [select] on your key pad and you will get to the installer menu. You cant gain access to this via the drop down menu as it is designed for the Sky Engineer to use.

3)
Select Option 4 to configure the RF outlets on your Sky Digibox.

4) The option RF Chanel Number change this number from example 35 to 60 .
You may need to do this using other numbers 26 34 55 etc
Every time you alter the number store it then try & tune TV to sky.
Any other sets in the house connected by RF leads will require retuning for sky.
Save new settings and you should find that your RF outlet to TV works fine.
