try this

if you have successfully added files that take mem, but dont show on player, DO NOT DELETE THE MUSIC FOLDER, just the music. the player will crash. i think this is hidden on mcs, which is the usb mode you need to be on to trans. try:settings/usb mode, mcs. 

you can go to (if you have windows media player) sync button, click the little arrow and click the button that says Sansa Player (or Sansa View) then you can unclick the autosync device.

Use the add/Remove hardware tool first

If that fails, go into Programs --> Sansa --> Uninstall

That's a new one for me - go ahead and call Sansa
