Are the programs that are included with the Sansa View necessary?

I have a Sansa View. Computer HDD crashed and I lost the ''programs'' that came with the player, and cannot find my CD. I seem to remember one program was a file converter and then I believe there was a second program. I don't understand if I really need them to transfer mp3 files, etc. to the player. The View has the latest driver file according to the SanDisk website.

Please explain what programs I need and what the do. I appreciate your help.

I bought a Sansa 8GB(black). I have download anything on to it. I've lost the little paper that It came with. Could you help please?

if you have successfully added files that take mem, but dont show on player, DO NOT DELETE THE MUSIC FOLDER, just the music. the player will crash. i think this is hidden on mcs, which is the usb mode you need to be on to trans. try:settings/usb mode, mcs.

Sansa Updater Problem

Use the add/Remove hardware tool first

If that fails, go into Programs --> Sansa --> Uninstall

That's a new one for me - go ahead and call Sansa
