If the green light never comes on. that is is if you unplug the set and wait 30 min before plugging back up. and then the green light never comes on..you have a power issue. the processor never receives power. if it comes on then goes out you have a shutdown issue. the processor detects a condition which it need to shut down the set due to a saftey issue. The processor generates a error log. which can be read by a technician and a computer. it can be one of about 30 different problems. so it would be best to troubleshoot this further.

Start by getting some voltage readings on the power supply, are you getting the command from the main to enable PWM on the power board? If so do your power supply voltages look normal? If not, replace the power supply if they look ok look at main board issues, also be sure all connectors are seated correctly

Likely damage to main power supply-------try to see if there is a specific number of blinks then a pause and repeats like 7 blinks a pause and repeats---that is an error code if there---with it AND THE MODEL NUMBER OF THE TV I might be able or not to help.

Panasonic 42 inch plasma wont turn on. red light blinks 10 times
I unpluged mine and the light was still blinking when it was unpluged. I thought that was weird. So I pluged it back in and just heald the power button in untill the light went out. It went out within ten seconds. I pushed the power button again and the tv went on. WOOHOO!!! Just needed reset, I guess.

Green light of death, capacitors have to be replaced but it probably wont fix it anyways. Once this happens the TV is completely useless.

E02 in canon Np 160
I believe a E02 deals with the scanner. Your copier is very old. It has been a long time scine I've worked on one. Have you checked that the exposure lamp has continuiy? If so, you may have a blown thermal fuse for the scanning lamp. Also, dose the scanning lamp turn "ON"? You may have a broken scanner lamp power cable. You should be able to order the parts on line.. I have this TV. My father in law tried to turn it on one day and it started making a clicking sound and never came on. So he went out and bought a new tv and gave it to me. It came on when I brought it home and worked for a couple weeks. Then just the other day it stopped working. When you hit the power button the light around it blinks four times and then you here a clicking sound. TV does not come on. Sony Projection TV 60 XBR, wont turn on, blinking green light
This sounds like when the power came back on a surge went into your tv and burnt out the TVs main power supply or possibly burn out the flyback power converter on the TV main board!
(I am pretty sure it is either one of these things!)
