My speakers wont install!

I have a Compaq computer with the PLatinum JBL series speakers. They worked perfect until I did a full system recovery. Ever since I did that they won't work. The turn on I plugged them into the right port in the back of the tower. And my computer does'nt read the hardware. I try to run a prgram where it wil read anything plugged into my computer so it can install it,but it won't read them. I looked under the options and it won't let me adjust the volume because it says i don't even have speakers plugged in. I called the 1800 number and they were absolutely NO help. So can someone please help me I would like to try and fix the problem so I can hear stuff on my computer! Thank you so much

Try a headphone, if u cannot hear anything, you will need a driver for your soundcard. Post your computer model and i can get a link for download the drivers.

Good luck

Where can i find my platinum jbl series speakers driver? my monitor is compaq v7550..thx a lot if u able to help me..

> where can I find ...

Nowhere -- speakers are electro-mechanical devices -- accept electrical power and move the speaker-cone, to create air-waves which your ear interprets as sounds.

They are not electronic devices that require software and device-drivers to make them work.

I cant install Computer Speakers can someone help me? i installed computer speaker and all i get is humming sound i have three jacks one is pink blue green on compaq presarrio jbl platinum series

Make sure the jacks are in the correct sockets (as color-coded) and plugged all the way in.

If that still does not work, your speakers are faulty, and you will need to get them replaced.
